Beauty Inside Out! MBGN 2000 Winner Matilda Kerry Organizes Christmas Party for Underprivileged Children in Mafoluku – PHOTOS
Matilda Kerry, who won the 2000 edition of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant, is truly passionate about philanthropy.
It’s so heartwarming to see that the former beauty queen, who is now a medical doctor, has continued her charity work beyond her reign as MBGN.
On Saturday, December 12th, Kerry’s NGO, George Kerry Life Foundation (GKLF) in partnership with Bode Edun Foundation, held the 6th edition of its annual Christmas party for underprivileged children. This year’s edition was held in Mafoluku.
On that day, one thousand less privileged children in Mafoluku enjoyed free medical services and a day of fun featuring bouncy castles, face painting, bonding with ‘Father Christmas’, fun rides, party packs and loads of other fun activities. The event also featured a classic indoor dinner set auction of art works, celebrity dates, donated items and a bake sale to raise funds for future GKLF campaigns.
Since 2009, GKLF has screened over 9,000 women, 1000 men and reached over 100,000 families with cancer awareness messages. This has been made possible through kind donations and seed fundings from the public.
