Awwwwww bless. Well i can tell you if you were coming to my maternity unit. you wont be allowed in with all those assorted witch media technology. Where are you going to plug all those your connecticus. have you actually visited a maternity unit and seen just how much equipment is plugged in already. Do you realise how much of an obstruction additional cables cause in an emergency. And besides when you hook yourself up to your life support virtual reality who will be talking to wifey, reassuring her. Anyway i always find work for husbands that attend with their wifes , messages of the back, feet, toes or wherever wifey wants it. . cold, hot compress as your wife’s mood dictates, And ill loose the towel if i were you. they are such a pain to dry, most units provide you with them. Please repack that man bag.

I am not sure how they do in Nigeria but in other countries (developed or not) most hospitals offer at least 3 types of martenity rooms. Most women just go to the “general” maternity ward where they share a room with 2 to 4 women, some women choose to book a “family room”. In this room, they can have their privacy with family and friends. The hubby is allowed to sleep over too. They there are VIP rooms for VIP people. This one is self explanatory na. In David´s case, it seems they booked a family room.

Loool. I don’t think david attended any antenatal classes Because if he did he would no that he’s main duty at the hospital is to remain alert and support his wife. The only way to do that is to remove all distraction. Sleep when things are calm and be ready and alert to support the screaming potty mouth monster that once was your gentle loving wife. All those equipment better not be in reach of your wife because they will act as missiles aimed at your head. Good luck.

      Uju, yes he can!
Some mother/ baby units these days are built in suits…. all inclusive shower, toilet, convertible couch/ bed for the husband, grandmother or any other person, who will support the mother, private kitchenette with snacks and patients and their spouses get to order their meals within the health limits of the patient.
Healthcare , these days have become very competitive. Some are just mini hotels with even sound proof carpeting.

      Wish them safe delivery.
