Pulse TV‘s C Classic hits the Lagos streets to ask if the government should ban street hawking.

He also tries to ‘sell market’ himself.

In the video, hawkers including children oppose the move, and stated that officials have been chasing them off the street.

They said the ‘hustle’ keeps them in school or helps them feed their families. They said government should put more employment programs if they want people to stop selling.

“This is not the way” some said, that joblessness will lead to begging and crime.

Meanwhile, car owners had differing views, saying the roads will be safer, etc.

Is it morally right to improvish families. Simply put, is there free education, housing for the less proviledged, food for survival. Most items collected are mostly sold or bonus for the officers. Yes, street hawking is dangerous and offensive. Govt should provide what is needful for the citizens.

I think the children should go back to school and the adult should go to places like Abule Egba,, Sango and their likes.
