“Some Ministers are squatting in Abuja and living in conditions Equal to that of most Nigerians” – Rotimi Amaechi on a New Episode of “The Osasu Show”

Show Host and Investigative Journalist Osasu Igbinedion invited the Federal Minister of Transportation and Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi to a new episode of ‘The Osasu Show’.

During the interview, he spoke on the recently launched Abuja-Kaduna Railway and how it will benefit Nigerians especially some ministers currently squatting in Abuja living like “regular Nigerians”. He also spoke about the growing incidence of violence in Rivers state and compared it with his regime as Governor in the State for 8 years.

He said:

“Listen to me; do you know that ministers, as we are talking now, some of them are squatting? We are living in conditions equal to that of most Nigerians”.

He also said that with the construction of the rail line, life will be easier for Nigerians and accommodation more affordable as Nigerians will be able to live in Kaduna and work in Abuja, while paying less for accommodation in Kaduna:

For those who don’t have houses, they’re able to rent houses at a cheap cost in Kaduna as against that of Abuja. It also impacts the savings; you have disposable income in your hand. It also impacts on agriculture, agricultural produce, you can transport easily and it will impact on cost of production because at that point, you’re able to move the cargo at a cheaper cost.

And then whatever comes out of production, will be sold to the people at a cheaper cost. So basically, it has economic importance that would at the end of the day, impact on the socio-economic entities of Kaduna and Abuja.

How can any one person hv so much mouth diarrhoea? So, ministers are super humans and we should pity them that they live like normal Nigerians? Anyways, l no blame you. Na greedy Odili l blame. If not, how can a bloody cultist like you hold public office? You and Wike both know where the dead bodies are buried. You are only pained that Wike is more jaguda than you inspite of your federal connection. Your day of reckoning is around the corner.

Nigerians really ought to hang their leaders, maybe once every generation. In country with owed salaries, runaway inflation, stagnant wages and starvation how people can be so tone-deaf is beyond me.

I had little respect for Rotimi Amaechi prior to reading this. After reading this, I’ve lost the little respect I had for him. Do these punks actually think the rest of us Nigerians are dumb people? We might not have the balls to question those in power because we’ve accepted our fate and for fear of persecution but we’re definitely far from being stupid. Please mention the name of the Minister squatting in Abuja and give us proof.

I like how focused Osasu is on her craft, she’s a serious journalist. Respect. Amaechi is always an interesting subject but what he said about Ministers squatting is total b.s. Nigerians aren’t fools sir.
