Nigerian teenager, Andre Aderemi, 19 was found with knife wounds in Heather Way on the Monk’s Hill estate at 7.40pm on Tuesday.

Aderemi, who as a former pupil of John Ruskin College and Oasis Academy Shirley Park, was pronounced dead at the hospital despite frantic efforts from members of the public and paramedics to save him.

According to UK Evening Standard, Aderemi was an amateur rapper said to be friends with two other young musicians, Myron Isaac Yarde, 17, and Leoandro Osemeke, 16, stabbed to death in south London in the past three months.

Yarde, also known as MDot was fatally stabbed in New Cross in April. Osemeke, a Nigerian was stabbed to death outside a party in Peckham on August 5.

The report added that two 19-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being questioned in custody.

Aderemi is the eighth teenage victim of knife crime in the capital this year.

The family has called on young people to stop the “war” between them.

Aderemi’s aunt, Mandy Davis, speaking at the funeral service held for him at St. Francis Church, said: “Please say a prayer for the young people to stop this war that’s going on, so another mother or another family aren’t grieving like we are today”.
