Can we move forward please…..This is becoming vain! There are prayer-warrior-wives who lost their husbands and there are fantastic cook-wives, who also lost their wives!

Its 2016 not 1845. If you are a man and can’t cook or handle feeding arrangement you have no business getting married. The end!

The whole prayer thing is getting ridiculous now, why is religion everything in Nigeria and yet we are surrounded by wickedness , so much falsehood and pretense everywhere, other nations are making their nation great we are constantly being inundated with all the dogmatic views of some ‘men of god’, my concern is that the young generation are now be indoctrinated and will carry on with this mentality on wonder what the future will be for the next generation to come. Even merely looking at the many people that have been either indicted or charged for corruption and looting the common wealth of the nation, majority of them are either Christians or Muslims. i am yet o see a traditional religion person being arraigned for looting and embezzlement , this goes to show that this religion thing is only a cover to perpetuate fraud , most of them are unpatriotic they steal our common wealth and take it abroad for those nations to better their own nations, you just can’t make it up. and yet they posturing and grandstanding on vanity the internet is awashed with atrocities being committed by these holier than thou people. Nigeria ! why art thy heart so dark? Today china just unveiled ‘Straddling Bus ‘ to ease congestion in their cities but we are busy constantly busy with religion and waiting for mana from heaven! Wake up people!

    • Lmao

      August 10, 2016 at 4:11 pm

Lol who cares about your opinion?. You really sound like your opinion is the be all and end all. Even if you have an awful personality someone will still want to marry you because all most Nigerian women want is marriage- doesn’t have to be a happy marriage, but they’ll endure because… Nigeria. The funny thing though, is that all the cooking, submission, praying and hot sex in the world has never stopped Nigerian men from cheating. So who your opinion really help!

      @ solomon Akinboyewa Olawale…
.You better be a 100 % provider! Leave investments also, incase anything happen to you, the sole provider.
Take care of your wife, kids and your wife’s family and friends. Your wife should have access to your account and should be able to withdraw money from there as needed. The money you make should be put in a joint family account!
You should still make out time to run little errands for the family, sometimes, when you are around.
Wives are partners not maids! !
Being a stay home wife doesn’t mean she is a maid.

Lmao! The guy that talked about knowing why you got married is on point. Me all i say is “Thank you” to God everyday. That 1 second prayer o boy, God de clear road for me. Mow down all obstacles. So 1 hour prayer no mean anything abegi.

I really wish Nigerian s will channel their time into more profitable deliberations on how we can get out of the economic hardship before us. why sit and deliberate on such shallow discourse. we need to wake up. make we wake up “epp ourselves” in this country oh! Positive and real change that is universal and embraces all tribes and religion is what we need right now…….

I hope they do. They channel their energy towards things that don’t really matter. Shallow things like you said. Even Mrs. Adeboye might not be cooking and praying for an hour everyday. Praying longer and cooking every minute doesn’t guarantee Nada. A simple prayer and GOD says yes. Cook just indomie with boiled eggs and your hubby becomes your property forever.

In 10yrs of successful marriage, my wife has never prayed longer than 15-20 mins. But she’s a great cook and I do help her a lot with chores like dishwashing, babycare, going to d market, etc. Men need to help bring out the best in a woman.

    • Manny

      August 10, 2016 at 9:35 pm

Nice of you. But sir, you are not HELPING her with the chores. You are doing your own share of the chores.

This does not even need to be an argument. I was brought up in a house where my Mum did most of the cooking. I just boiled rice and stew here and there but mostly did rice boiling. It was when I got to uni that I had to learn how to cook and then also after uni. I cook cos I have to survive. I would like to think that guys also learn this skill when they’re out of the house. As long as you have to eat, you have to learn how to cook.
As for praying, when you have problems what do you do? don’t you pray by yourself? don’t you also praise God on your own? It can be for 10 mins or 30 or 1 hour or even 5 mins. You sha pray. I would like to think people of all sexes do it. So kini big deal? People just start making big mountains out of small issues *rolls eyes*
In fact as a normal human being you should know how to do both!

of course, to each his own……..but the people arguing over this pray for 1 hour and no cook thing must have forgotten that God gives inspiration and ideas on what to do……if a lady has being praying for 1 hour for 365 days, what happens to the other 23 hours in that same 365 days……..is it that God has not inspire her to learn how to cook………the very best of chef did not start being the very best in one day and one meal but over several days and several meals…………
for me ,if a lady can pray for one hour, she should know how to learn to cook, same as if she can cook, she should know learn how to pray and it does not have to be 1 hour but fervently and without season……….

Pls can we move on. pastor Adeboye was not talking to everybody he was talking to his congestion. Why are Nigerian like dis. If you can marry a woman who can’t pray and fast so be. If you marry a jobless man it’s your cross, can this issue rest
Whatever y want you will get

My own understanding: Pastor Adeboye didn’t say a woman must pray everyday for 1hr. She should be able to pray for an hour if it calls for it. Also, he doesn’t mean a lady should cook all the time but know how to cook and be able to cook when she’s needed to cook. Enough of all this cooking and praying talk. Nigerians turn everything to something else. E don do
