ART X Lagos officially opened last night with a VIP Preview in the grandest of fashions. Art Lovers, Collectors, Celebrities, Tastemakers and Lagos High Society descended on The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos to witness what has been the most talked about ART fair on the continent.

Just hours before the VIP Preview opened, CNN’s Katy Scott spoke to Founder & Director, Tokini Peterside in an article which also featured exhibiting artists who will showcase their work over the course of 3 days.

Best described as a fusion of Art, Lifestyle and Entertainment, ART X Lagos aims to bring the international art world to Lagos, placing the city of Lagos on the global cultural map.

The Fair continues today with talks and sessions and the ART X Live: Intersections, a live art and sound performance installation fusing emerging visual artists and 4 of the fastest rising music artistes. Produced by Ikon, Intersections is co-curated by Fatherland Media and A Whitespace Creative Agency, and stars Vector, Simi, Falana and Poe who will be performing alongside Yadichinma, Stacey Ravvero, Tunde Alara and Dricky.
