Maiden Soundcity MVP Awards Festival (#TheMVPs) Set to Move African Music Forward

The nominees in all 14 categories at Soundcity MVP 2016 have been announced with tickets on sale and voting on going since the official announcement, via @SOUNDCITYtv and soundcitymvp.com, went live.

Social media, blogs and radio banter have ensued and nominees are calling on fans for votes. The maiden edition of the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival is set to be a premier music showcase to move African music forward. It will hold in Lagos on the December 29th 2016 at the Eko Hotel.

The annual music award festival would honour the continent’s finest music talent in key categories, as they battle for the music industry’s highest honour – a statuette at #TheMVPs.

Aside giving established artistes further maximum exposure – recognising musical excellence across all genres, as well as paying tribute to the various facets of musical production including production and video production, the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival (#TheMVPs) will also be the hotspot for emerging artistes and talents seeking to break into the African music industry through a #DISCOVER platform that will be launched at the event.

The #MVPs will continuously be the music industry’s measure of progress and an authoritative tool for the industry’s checks and balances, certainty and conditions.
