Gosh, you spoke my mind. Funny thing is, more black American women are going for more ethnic look than Africans. They rocking more natural hairstyles. We Naija women are going European look. How ironic.
In U.S, there’s more pressure to look non ethnic. So I don’t understand out obsession with looking less ethnic

    What is “ethnic” look??

    • Strcitly Rich people's problems

For black people it will be a look with an African feel; braids, cornrows, etc.

Strictly African American/Blacks living outside Africa problems.

Here we assume every black person is African and know their roots hence no need.

Our sisters in the abroad are however looking to ethnic looks to give them a sense of belonging.

We are still battling NEPA and economic issues and trying to be oyibo to even have such problems.

Don’t act dumb now. You see how the kardashians have ethnic look too which refers to their middle eastern heritage. So for Africans embracing what their natural look is not trying to be more European/white
