Hello, BellaNaijarians,

If you have been following @bellanaijaonline for the past couple of days you would have seen all the FOMO-inducing moments our faves; superstar musician Waje, aviator and beauty queen cum influencer Powede Awujo and Betty Irabor – founder of Genevieve Magazine and author of “Dust to Dew” were sharing from The City of Light to #DiscoverPariswithAirFrance!

All three ladies who were part of the Lancôme My Shade My Power campaign in Nigeria went alongside beauty consultant, and founder of Glam Brand Agency, Bola Balogun and Carol Bouwer, UNICEF SA Special Advocate. Luckily, we got a chance to travel alongside these phenomenal women and trust us, it was an amazing experience.

The fun started right here in Lagos with a fancy limo ride to the airport, a smooth check-in and drinks at Air France’s lounge – luxury all the way!.

Then boarding was announced right on time. We experienced first hand the cozy Air France Business Class cabin and enjoyed wonderful in-flight services and entertainment. It was a very smooth flight all the way to Paris.

As soon as we got to the beautiful city, we were whisked to a gorgeous hotel in the heart of Paris and each shown to our rooms where Lancôme goodies where waiting for us! Like Powede said: “Every sweet woman deserves some Lancôme goodness” and we agree.

Although we already had a restful 6-hour flight, it was time to call it a day and have our beauty sleep.

The next day, right after a wonderful breakfast, we hit the town and took a short trip to the magnificent Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann – an upmarket French department store. It is a must-visit shopping destination that we didn’t want to leave. But it was time to take photos with some beautiful Parisian landmark. Who can resist that?!

Next stop: Le Lido – the famous Paris cabaret. Let me just say once again, Le Lido is amazing! If you are into vintage glamour, dance and art, this is definitely a must-visit for you. Looking for more cabaret dinner options? You can also try the famous Moulin Rouge too.

And trust superstar singer Waje, to hit high notes backstage in the luxurious space.

The next day was also exciting. It was time to explore another beautiful side of Paris with the Lancôme team. It was so much fun shooting near the Eiffel Tower and on a chic boat cruise down the Seine River.

After the photo shoot, the three Lancôme heroes got their personalised perfume bottles – how sophisticated!

When we had freshened up and eaten lunch, it was time to partayy, Parisian style. We celebrated with Lancôme at an exclusive event. You know a party is going to be lit when there is a waterfall swing or Jangorova epo moto as Aunty Betty called it!

The next day was very restful – we had time to relax, visit other interesting places, try out French cuisine and of course, take great photos!

Soon after, it was time to head back home! After a wonderful experience, the #DiscoverPariswithAirFrance crew had great things to say about the experience.

Powede: “I can’t detail my Parisian experience without talking about the aesthetic architecture of the city, making every photo a masterpiece. Leaving had me in mixed feelings, but the new Airfrance VIP lounge at Charles de Gaulle was a sight to behold and the Airfrance team provided excellent service inflight. Everyone should visit the beautiful City of Paris and I’m grateful to Lancome and Airfrance for giving me a Luxury Parisian experience worthwhile, I’ll definitely be going back there soon.”

Waje: “So vous cherchez je suis à Montmartre ? J’adore Pari”

Betty Irabor: “Formation???? We came, we saw, we conquered and this is how we leave for Lagos; strutting In style”

Bola Balogun:The city of lights, the city of love and the city with a certain “Je Ne Sais quoi” Thank you @lancomeofficial for the ultimate Parisian experience. We got a chance to connect with each other and share our stories and beautiful memories together. We visited and enjoyed VVIP treatments of the best Paris has to offer from personalized beauty sessions, restaurants, shows and everything in between. But let us talk about something deeper, There’s a tremendous potential for Nigeria with international brands and the ones that will succeed are doing better at understanding the Nigerian consumer psyche. Despite the challenges of doing business in retail in Nigeria including but not limited to distribution, rules on foreign investments, fluctuation of the dollar, Nafdac and all the issues at our Ports. I’m glad some companies are coming and investing in Africa and its people and trusting companies like my own @glambrandagency to help them navigate the Nigerian business and marketing landscape. Its not going to happen overnight but the process have started and we should all get ready for more mutually beneficial and lucrative partnerships, campaigns, ambassadors and support.”

And then, time for another exquisite flying experience with Air France. Yup, we came back to Lagos in style.

We hope you enjoyed following our updates on @bellanaijaonline  #DiscoverPariswithAirFranceThanks to Air France for this amazing experience! PS: We really didn’t want to leave.

Yassss. I live in nearby Germany and with all that I’ve heard about the place from people who have visited, I won’t be visiting anytime soon. It’s like all you have described and more.

It was shocking for me. You never see the bad parts. Very dirty and smelly train stations and streets. Multitude of homeless ppl nko?

Thanks for all your comments. Every city has its highs and lows. For example, we LOVE our dear Lagos but we all know its bad and good parts.
We loved our experience in Paris and if you haven’t visited, we encourage you to visit soon! It’s a gorgeous experience. If you are interested in other destinations, Air France has also got you covered – https://bit.ly/AirFranceNGdeals

@ami, we had to remove your comment due to the racial angle. One Love!

So why were the other comments which had no racial angle also deleted? Bellanaija, you’ve become a real disappointment.

Someone mentioned elsewhere that it seems the site has been sold. I think I am beginning to believe that now cos just take a look at what you’ve turned the website to. A site that should have gone global in a big way by now is instead filled with posts without comments, what is the point?!
