INEC disturbed by arrest of Media & Observers for #OsunRerun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that it is “disturbed” by reports about accredited media and observers being arrested and prevented from carrying out their duties for the Osun state governorship rerun elections happening today (Thursday).
The commission made this known in a tweet on Thursday. It said:
INEC is disturbed about reports that accredited media and observers are being arrested or prevented from operating in some polling units. This is being taken up with the security agencies.

Thursday was fixed for the rerun after Saturday’s election was declared inconclusive.
