#OsunDecides2018: INEC says Governorship Election Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the September 22, 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun state.

Senator Ademola Adeleke (PDP) had polled 254,698 votes to defeat Gboyega Oyetola (APC) who polled 254,698 votes.

Returning Officer and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Professor Joseph Fuwape made this announcement in Osogbo on Sunday, adding that Thursday, September 27th will be the date for rerun.

Fuwape said that since the difference in votes between the two leading candidates is lesser than the registered cancelled votes (3,498), the election had to be declared inconclusive, according to INEC’s standing rules.

It can’t be inconclusive forever na.
What baffles me most is, despite the cry of Nigeria’s vast majority for a better group of people to lead our nation to a more secured system. Same people still goes to vote the PDP/APC aspirants.
    My goodness
