The 6th instalment of the Runway Dubai Fashion Show held on the 8th – 10th November 2018 at Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, Dubai. It featured catwalk presentations, fashion talent contests, brand exhibitions and musical performances from around the globe.
Womenswear designer, Nkechi Harry Ngonadi showcased exotic designs with strong cultural aesthetics and detailed hand-beaded features. Her brand NHN Couture caters to women who want to be covered up but also look alluring, as their Instagram biography strongly states “Bringing decency back to church & the society at large!”.
NHN Couture played with feathers and sequin, infusing tulle with freshwater pearls on some of the pieces.
Acc0rding to www.Hararestar.com, Nkechi said:
The theme was divinely inspired by NHN Couture’s models or ambassadors who included a Nigerian widow/pastor who had overcome infertility, after multiple miscarriages. I wanted women to be able to see them and think, despite what I am going through now, the world still awaits me.
