Have you ever felt like giving up? Do you sometimes look at yourself and wonder if life will get better? Then let’s talk.

Many times, it’s not like when we set out, we actually plan to give up. It’s just that life can get very frustrating along the way. And you just might not feel like going further. I know how this feels, because I’ve been there, and maybe I still am at this point in my life. If you have ever felt this way, I want you to know that you are not alone.

What matters is what we do about the feeling. For some, they choose to back out, or even forget about the vision they once had. Others start to dissociate themselves from people, because they already begin to feel like failures.

But know this: you are not a failure. Don’t give up. The worst thing that can happen is to give in to self-defeating thoughts, thoughts that constantly make you feel like giving up. I know it’s not easy to face the mountain and keep climbing.

Many people are also, like you, trying to figure out their lives and the next step they should be taking. You thinking everyone out there has got it all figured out is a big lie, a lie of the century. Do not kill yourself over what you don’t understand right now, neither should you give up, just because what you planned for isn’t working out the way you expected it. Always remember that, When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” So, paddle your boat and ride on some more.

The never give up attitude is one full of optimism, and will eventually make you rise above limitations, defy odds, and truly live your best life. But, of course, it takes a lot of courage and self-belief to keep keeping on.

Do you feel like giving up? How about doing the following?

  1. Retrace back to where you started from to relive the essence of why you set out on your journey.
  2. Slow down when need be, but do not quit.
  3. Reaffirm the belief you have in yourself.
  4. Try once more. Don’t give up.

Hey, it’s all right to feel tired on a journey. Sometimes you win, other times you don’t. But whatever you are facing right now, never forget that giving up should never be an option.
