Seun Kuti gets a Grammy Nomination! ?

Whoop whoop!

Remember when afrobeat musician Seun Kuti put out a “For Your Consideration” asking members of the Recording Academy to nominate him for a Grammy award?

This is NOT A NOMINATION. This is simply a shout out to all my @recordingacademy friends to vote for my album since it is being considered! Even if e sweet to hear I can’t let the bloggers spread inaccurate stories. I am very glad with the outpouring of support tho and I know if Grammys were open voting , we will win everything. Nominations will be announced in December. We will celebrate then!! #getthesax

Well, he’s been nominated!

The Grammy noms were announced today and our very own has been nominated in the Best World Music Album category for his album “Black Times.”
