Turning a New Leaf | From “Gaga” Artist to Gospel Songstress, Listen to Maheeda – Hallelujah

Sometime back in February, BN Music had a special feature showcasing Africa’s craziest female brands in music – ‘BN Music presents The Rise of the “African Gagas”‘ and Maheeda (real name Caroline Sam) was on the list. {click here} And here’s a picture of Maheeda from back then:

But, life never really tells you where you’re going and as circumstances would have it, Maheeda has turned a new leaf and has a new found faith. But, not only that, she’s now also a married woman. Here’s a “leaked” picture from her recent wedding.

Although her music is still very Afro Pop and Dance-infused, its contents and lyrics have been fashioned to “make some holy noise” and spread the good news. Here’s her new single “Hallelujah”, her debut since she turned a leaf. It was produced by Kuk Beats. What do you think?
