We saw a few photos of Team EME in Kenya last week when they went to perform at the ‘O’ News (Channel O) event in Kenya. The event was filled with African stars from Team EME – Banky W, Wizkid, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee & DJ Xclusive – Khuli Chana and Kenya’s very own, Wyre and Camp Mulla. Here’s some footage of what went down.
For already established performers (Wiz Kid and Banky W,) the entire performance was too messy and uncoordinated. Let the DJ do his thing in the beginning: hype the crowd. Not all of you saving different things at the same time. Niyola wasn’t sure if she really belonged there. Didn’t sing over her backing vocals so she may as well have been miming, especially since there wasn’t any difference in her sound level singing from when she dropped the mic and her ad libs continued.
Individually, everyone in this group is either an average to good artist, but collectively they are not an empire. They need to work on establishing each person’s role within an entire group setting.
Nice song and good job to every member of the EME including DJ Xclusive. Looking forward to seeing you all at the “The Baddest” performance very soon. Kudos!
Hands in a the air. They know they can’t stop us…..
