Having to face someone who has violated you is an emotionally traumatizing experience. This video by Esosa Edosomwan tries to encapsulate that emotion on film. We hope that more people will continue to speak out against domestic violence, especially rape and ensure that “No!” means “No!”

#Vengeance is Mine is written and directed by Esosa and stars Adeoye and Elizabeth London. A young Nigerian woman living in the USA with a body of works such as “Simple As Blk & White”, “Coming Home” & “March On” which won Best Documentary in the 2012 ‘Vote it Forward Film Festival’, Esosa is one to watch out for in the film industry.

Seriously, it’s comments like yours that forever put victims at a disadvantage. If A says no and B continues to push for sex, then it is rape. Only a rapist preys on a person who says no, no matter how weak. Until people understand that saying that NO MEANS NO, then we are still in trouble.
@Retrochic You must see a counselor asap because there’s a potential rapist in your comment.

Good idea, I think the execution could have been better. Loved the long takes and camera work to capture the main character but I think her acting in the rape scene was terribly flat. Also, the dialogue was too predictable especially for a short film where the dialogue has to be near perfect.

Nicely shot and edited, the acting could be better. Rape is a criminal matter, punished by a prison term if the rapist is convicted, in the real world.

Nice one, but I wished they wrote that he was reported and arrested. Especially as this story is set in Maryland US.

Im sorry but this movie was such a drag. Not realistic at all. I just feel when youre dealing with rape stores you should make it feel and look as realistic as possible

The girl acting was very flat. She didnt have enough emotion in the scene when he was about to rape her, plus she does something with her lipos that just puts me off. Finally, rape is a criminal offence and punishable by law, it shouldnt be only about being humiliated by fans/public. I was expected the police to pick him up especially as he even confessed to having raped several other girls.
