A wise man in my village once told me that “good things come in small packages.” I’m only saying it’s a wise man because it makes me sound a little smarter than I really am. I don’t know why I do the weird things I do, but I’ve come to accept it.

It is who I am.
I just like to begin stories with “a wise man once told me…”
Not sure why…

Well, truth is, I really don’t know any wise men from my village; not saying the dudes in my village aren’t wise, I’m sure they all are.
Another truth about me? I love quotes.

And this particular quote popped into my head when I interviewed Lilly Ghalichi – who many people know from the reality show “Shahs of Sunset” on Bravo TV.

In the piece, I described her as a pint-sized power house, which is really what she is. She’s very tiny; that’s the only way to put it.

I tower over most people, but this woman makes me look like a friggin giant, but I’m kinda used to that.
After the interview, I couldn’t help but be impressed by her.

See, they call her the Persian Barbie because of her looks. But, she’s got a lot of brains to go with her beauty. She’s not just one of those pretty faces who’s using a reality show to make a living, which I have nothing against.
I’m all about doing what works for you.

Yes, she’s capitalizing on it but who wouldn’t?
It’s not that she has to do this…she doesn’t have to – she’s a lawyer.
But she’s using her smarts to cash in because she’s used this reality show platform to market her line of products.
And I mean products with an ‘s’ – as in her bathing suit line (“have faith swimgerie”), fake lash line (“lilly lashes”), hair extension line (“lilly hair”) and wait, I’m not done yet, she also has a blog.
Many would say where does she find the time?

I say what in the world am I doing wrong?

Anyway, since she’s known for the designer duds that embodies what we’ve come to know as the “Ghalichi Glam.”
Lilly claims she “balls on a budget” so I had her show me top three beauty products that don’t cost a gazillion dollars.
And guess what? she delivered when I met up with her on “The Dunkin Donuts Studio on the Run” – which is the mobile studio we used last year for taped interviews

So, here’s the interview which till today has me wondering what in the world I’m doing wrong with my life.
Like seriously.

I’m still thinking…so while I think, go ahead and watch.
I’m sure I’ll still be thinking about it when you’re done watching.
Enjoy
