Few restaurants combine good food with a homely and comfortable ambience. The Yellow Chilli Restaurant and Bar puts all that together to create an experience that makes you want to come back to do lunch or a good meal after a hard day’s work.

As if that is not enough treat, the afrocentric restaurant located on Oju Olobun Close Victoria Island, has also launched its novel Customer Loyalty Scheme with an impressive after hour party on Independence Day.

Ebere Shogbola says the scheme “is all about the customers who have helped us to spread the word and have consistently patronised us in the last six years that we opened our doors, even in spite of current economic difficulties.”

According to the lawyer turned hospitality entrepreneur, the scheme operates by a card being issued to a customer, which is presented and fed through a terminal at payment point. The card automatically accumulates points, which can be redeemed any time the customer decides to.

“This I believe is a novel scheme, in the sense that the customer gets to choose what they want to redeem their bonus points with from our food or drinks menu.”

Mrs. Shogbola in a chat at the event stressed that “excellent service delivery and the integrity of our ingredients is what makes us unique.”

The launch of the scheme which came in the form of a party tagged “The Yellow Chilli Celebrates You” was attended by an impressive gathering of the restaurant’s customers.

Divided into three major sections for customers – the upper floor is set up like a lounge and bar where people can unwind, the ground floor, serves as the main restaurant with the capacity to cater for rush hour influx, while the space outside is designed for those who would want enjoy a mild gust of the lagoon breeze while eating barbecue.

Ebere also hinted that there are plans to set up shop outside Lagos soon, although she won’t say when specifically, she however said the priority of the restaurant’s management is to get service delivery right through staff training stating that once that is done they will be ready to replicate what they have achieved in Lagos in other parts of Nigeria.
