Tiffany Amber Presents “Fearless Luxury” – A/W 2011/12 Ad Campaign

BellaNaija.com

 on

Tiffany Amber collections are incredibly opulent affairs. Never one to follow trends, the A/W 2011/12 collection stayed very true to the brand’s aesthetic. Silks in its various forms, sumptuous velvets and rich coral and gunmetal embellishments, in shades of orange, hues of blue, gold and nude tones create an effect that is the true definition of “Fearless Luxury”; luxe beyond any luxury lover’s imagination.

In the designer’s bid to continue to push the boundaries for her prints, four images of beads taken from the archives of award winning photographer Vitor Politis were ethically produced for the collection.

According to the designer Folake Folarin-Coker, “This is my favourite collection so far. It embodies a multitude of women; classic yet youthful, sexy yet demure, vibrant yet sophisticated.”

Look out for these images in Tiffany Amber print ads in your favourite magazines soon.

Best collection from TA ever. Definitely a sound collection. LOVE the very modern takes on iro and buba. Love the draping as per usual.

Now the ugly… Those velvet blazers need to go. Awful and old.
And why did the stylists put those chunky platforms on the jumpsuit? Iyama!

Nice and simple. I hope tiffany can put some of these clothes on celebrities like Omotola, Stephanie, Rita…and style them in. This is how Hollywood got the whole world to follow their culture of glamour and stele. I hope African designers can step up too in this regard. It’s time!

Yay to my favorite naija female designer, I know they say the clothes don’t make the woman, but her clothes just make women look supremely elegant. I love love love her work. When next I’m in naija, I know where I’ll be taking my lady…I’m looking forward to conducting business with her soonest 🙂

Now, this is what we call TALENT, so EFFORTLESS, the little details, and finishing make a dress or a good product stand out, you simply just see it , from using the right models, the right color combination, fabrics and shoes. I just wanna put ’em all in a frame and hang them in me house. Great Job Tiffany .A

In my opinion, tiffany amber is the most creative nigerian designer there is .The others spend their days watching FTV and flipping through fashion/celebrity magazines, copy out what they see and use ankara to create a supposed fresh and new look. Thumbs up Tiffany Amber. But abeg reduce your price so that those of us who are not rich or do aristo to keep up with the jonses can afford a decent Tiffany Amber piece

    August 18, 2011 at 8:16 pm

Hmmm, I’m sorry but I don’t see any creativity here whatsoever. The last dress is a replica of givenchy’s, the blue velvet maxi dress is the exact same on asos save for the slit, some of the jumpsuits are so voluminous the models look pregnant, velvet jackets have come and gone(a long time ago), the draped dresses are gorg but every designer has dabbled into draping, palazzo pants are back and are everywhere.

Tifanny Amber has always copied western designs, right from her days in mega plaza(top floor), when we could still afford a few dresses. Her clothes are the closest to western influences so I don’t see any originality. Personally I think Lanre DaSilva is the most creative designer in Nigeria but only the brave can dorn her clothes.

I however commend the finishing, the outfits do scream opulence and the finishing is impeccable. The shoes however-ZERo!

Gorgeous pieces! However, Folake needs to work on †ђξ ‘after-service’ customer experience. I was convinced into buying a dress that was a size smaller at †ђξ Palms outlet for my anniversary with an assurance that I could return it afterwards for amendments. The fabric shrank and when I did return it, I met a different person. Anyways, nobody contacted me for agesssss! When I returned to †ђξ store, †ђξ staff had left yet again and I had to tell my story again…..†ђξ babe found my dress backstore, nothing had been done and she apologised profusedly that she was afraid no amendment could be done. I was in a good mood cos I got an embellished tunic a few days before. Phew!

hmmm…love the outfits, but none of them are original/unique. I spent a month this past spring on a shopping hunt and I’ve seen every one of these outfits. I wish I had the time to dig through my brochures to post pictures of the clothes.
Nonetheless, fabulous clothes that I wouldn’t mind splurging my money on…I just wish I could find a designer that speaks to my taste + a unique factor in the clothing design.

This is breath taking. I have lots of Nigerian friends and they wear a lot of nigerian clothes . I think of all the ones that i have seen, Tiffany amber is one of the few that can be called a fashion designer. she has stayed tru to her signature and has just made it better and better without being a slave to trends or losing that thing fluidity that is tiffan amber. I must say I have been disappointed with the others esp jewel by lisa as she showed promise but just lost direction after being part of NFW. what made her special is no more there. what is JBL? Welll done tiffany amber. i look forward to shopping at your store when i am in nigeria

CAN U PPLE SEE THE DIFFERENCE BTW DESIGNER AND TAILOR????????
awesome….I’m not feeling the shoes on all d designs though…..some need a bit more elegant heels than pumps….

  89. Chichi

    August 21, 2011 at 4:26 pm

Haha, she is a tailor as well as there is absolutely no originality. Those dresses are exact copies of halston Heritage and I can name a few other look alikes. Plus, who wears velvet in Nigeria and autumn/winter collection?!!!! I wonder if a country without an autumn/winter season can rightful have designers collections at those seasons?!!!!
