Based on a true life story, Emem Isong‘s Royal Arts Academy presents its new production – Apaye: A Mother’s Love.

Directed by Desmond Elliot, the movie is an emotional story of Elder Irene Yepayeye Uriah, born in the creeks of Bayelsa state, abandoned by her husband and left to cater for six children.

She struggled, toiled to provide for her family, and ensure they enjoy a life she never had.

Clarion Chukwurah who plays an unforgettable lead character, stars alongside Kanayo O. Kanayo, Belinda Effah, Mbong Amata and Millicent Jack.

The movie will premiere on Friday 7th March 2014 at the Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island, Lagos

    Good movie. Good cast!

    But I don’t know why personally movies like this don’t interest me. I still like the yeye nollywood movies where they shout and speak pidgin and bad english Lol! Let’s just say it’s my guilty pleasure. 😀

    Wow, I can’t believe im just watching apaye in 2017, I never knew its old, apaye is a really inspiring movie about the struggle and love of a mother over her children….Clarion, Belinda,mbong are great actresses as well as others who starred in it..I give this movie a 100%……
