It was truly a Presidential Wedding!

When Faith Sakwe & Godswill Osim Edward wed this April, a cathedral length train, 9 tier embellished wedding cake with Nigeria’s colours white and green, and thousands of distinguished guests amidst pomp, pageantry, and of course, an epic love that started in university, made it a grand affair.

BN Weddings brought exclusive pre-wedding shots {click here} and first photos {click here}, now, as promised, here are the official wedding photos by George Osodi.

We wish the lovebirds a happy married life, filled with joy and blessings.

The picture of the bride with parents, I love that loving look GEJ is giving her like “so she’s really all grown up and leaving me”…. Finally, something I love about my president…

I love my president! Its only an African man with a good heart can display much love and care on an adopted child. More grease to ur elbow. This ugly phase bedeviling Nigeria shall soon pass, Amen~

Sometimes it’s not the president’s who are corrupt, it’s often those they elect around them who cause them harm. I love and respect this family if for nothing at all for the mere fact that they have actually loved and nurtured this child like their own flesh and blood. They have proved that adoption can actually work in Africa. Raising and loving even your own child can be a challenge because of the challenges that comes up as they grow. But through it all, they stood firm and continue to love them. God bless them for such a great deed and for showing so much love to those who needed it. Bravo

We Nigerians are quick to critisize and nail someone easily, but here is a man who has done something most of his mates will not do, not that they dont have the money. adopting a child raising her till university level, protecting her identity and giving her out to marriage “AS HIS FIRST DAUGHTER” I MEAN I GIVE IT TO THEM EXPECIALLY TO PATIENCE JONATHAN. Most women will not allow such caption since they have their own daughter . My God will continue to bless ur home and protect you just as u did to her.

Yes, he is a good man for adopting her and treating her like his own child. However, his adopting a child has nothing to do with the country at large. I don’t get why it is being brought up. He is a president and he should have the balls to tackle national issues!

Anyway, I loved the upper part of the bride’s dress and she is one gorgeous girl!

God bless you for this comment. I don’t understand how that relates to his incapability to lead as an elected president. Ignorant people are easily swayed I guess

The Jonathan’s loves this girl to bits, He is a real man, my respect for him has soared. its not common in naija for a man esp a politician to do this, he must demand for something in exchange cos that’s prevalent in this part of our country.Mr president and wiffy, I say may God bless u real good.Nigeria will have peace under ur rule in Jesus mighty Name

Whilst you’re all praising and adoring this very beautiful and culturally rich wedding, don’t get carried away by the fact that there are still over 200 missing girls and distressed families out there who also dream to also see their daughters walk down the aisle someday. Whilst i applaud the president for seemingly being a great dad, he hasn’t been a great president with regards to protecting the children of the country he rules democratically….just food for thought

You all said well, and the wedding view was so prayinful to all families, but, don’t forget that we still have some of our girls who was kidnapped by some peace destroyer, those girls might had an ambitions to make their own wedding elaborated than this, cos, no one know tomorrow, its a shame that our president and some political leaders are using our youth and nigerian life as political joker and dice, I’m scare of nigerian youth future.
