The 2015 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards took place last night and seeing as it is one of the biggest Award shows/night to come out of Africa – the AMVCAs is what everyone has been talking about for the past few hours.
The AMVCAs for this year showed that our African celebrities are not only evolving with movies; they are also evolving with style.

Media personality Denrele Edun was perhaps the most talked about person on the red carpet last night as he stepped out in a gold net dress designed for him by Toyin Lawani of Tiannahstyling.
He went with a pair of leather pants underneath the dress and he accessorized with a gold mask and a pair of gold boots.
His hair was not left out of his dramatic look as he opted for white braids.
Nollywood actress Susan Peters was another person who got people talking on the red carpet at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Also rocking a creation by Toyin Lawani of Tiannahstyling, Susan Peters had on a white lacy dress that was complemented with a huge cape with ruffles.
For her beauty look her hair was packed up in a ponytail and accessorized with a tiara.
Ini Edo’s look for the night got people talking because it was the very same dress that Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o wore for the 2014 Golden Globes.
The Ralph Lauren dress features a cape and according to Ini who was styled by Fruition Image Consultants immediately she saw the dress, she just had to have it.
Another Nollywood actress, another look from Toyin Lawani of Tiannahstyling.
Adunni Ade got people talking with her red risqué number that showed off her legs and an ample amount of cleavage.
The floor-length sheer dress was paired with a red bodysuit and she accessorized with gold sandals and gold earrings.
Actress Belinda Effah went with a very African look for the 2015 AMVCAs.
On her Instagram page she used quite a number of hashtags to share the idea behind her look for the night saying ‘#IAmNotAfraidToBeAfrican #IDontHaveIdentityCrisis #BlackAndStrongAfricanWoman #WillRockThisHairAnytime’.
Her look was definitely an interesting one.
Known for his love for suits, Alex Ekubo stepped on the red carpet in a blazer that had heads turning.
Designed by Jason Porsche, Alex Ekubo’s blazer got everyone’s attention with its red, blue and yellow colours.
Model and actress Kendra Etufunwa is another person who had a lot of people talking about her look for the night.
For the night Kendra wore a white sheer dress that featured a deep plunging neckline and a poof skirt.
Her look for the night was designed by House of Jahdara.
