dreamstime_l_1630611Last year BellaNaija Features put together an inspiring feature series to round off the year. The 2014 Epilogues featured 10 real people who took an introspective look at their year and wrote about it. This year, we decided to make the call public to our readers. {Click here if you missed it} It is our hope and desire that we will have enough entries to have a story up every day from the 1st to the 31st of December. We have received an impressive number of entries and we hope that you will share yours with us.

We kicked off the series with the entry by Jennifer G , Morountodun , Victory and Mayowa

This weekend, we’re sharing Harmony’s story.

Wow! Never knew this year had sooo many surprises. My dad travelled to a place with no return after a long battle on the 23rd of January.

Oh! February the month of love; but I lost my love due to amebo. I was soo hurt but I moved on. I wrote exams amidst tears that catapulted me into year two after a long wait to get to that level (shout out to Uniport making my year one sooo long).

March came with my birthday making me sooo old at 20. Then came June the month of opening fresh wounds, watching my dad’s corpse being lowered 6 feet.

Unistress was the name we gave to my school for doing borrowed courses that didn’t concern us (We think so) Things like dissecting lizards and frogs e.t.c and running from labs to labs and from lecture halls to another; remembering names of platyhelminthes like fasciola gigantica (fashola) and so on.

Sometimes it was standing under the sun with lab coats like people waiting to be raptured during ecology practicals, but as months go by I loved my course the more.( I sat for pharmacy but was rewarded with plant science and biotechnology)

I looked at my life through 7D cameras in September and saw that I have been playing my creator ojoro which I corrected by rededicating my life to Him.

Oh! 2015 came with colours, different ones from white to blue, down to black, through different spectrums. It has been a year of God faithfulness and provision for my mum(ever hustling) and for my siblings.

Thanks to BellaNaija for giving me the opportunity to share my story and develop myself.
