Abaya Lagos presents the ‘Desert Bloom’ Collection with Betty Irabor, Ego Boyo, Ezinne Chinkata & More at the Launch

Creative Director of Abaya Lagos, Salihat Rahaman with Betty Irabor
The Abaya Lagos ‘Desert Bloom’ collection launch event was an event reminiscent of an Arabian tea party.
It held at the Annex Explorer of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island with a host of distinguished fashionistas including Ego Boyo, Editor in Chief of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor and veteran broadcaster Ruth Benemesia-Opia in attendance.
The Abaya Lagos by Salihat’s ‘Desert Bloom’ collection will have you dreaming of exotic holidays, luxury gazebos and lounges, almost transforming you into a Middle-Eastern royalty. The entire collection is made up of exquisite turbans in gorgeous hues and handcrafted embroidered Abayas made from the finest silks and velvets.
The collection speaks sheer luxury with all the beauty of Middle-Eastern and Arabian splendor one can imagine.
Describing her collection ‘The Evolution of Luxury’, the creative director behind the label, Salihat Rahaman explains, “Each unique handmade piece has an added feel of elegance and luxury to it. Colours and textures are reminiscent of age-old Africa as well as Middle-Eastern Royalty, hence the theme “Ottoman meets Nubia. Abaya Lagos wants customers from different backgrounds to feel comfortable wearing Abaya Lagos merchandise regardless of culture or religious ties”.
