Of course it is! There is absolutely nothing wrong with a woman trying to protect herself.

So my guy said if there’s a ‘sexual predator’ that’s stronger than you, you can offer him condom. So a man is about to rape you and you’ll now be like ‘brother pls take condom first’. I have no words for this. It’s extremely pathetic ppl can even dare to think that a woman should walk around prepared for rape.

It is definitely ok… why should women not be able to protect themselves… In this day an age . na every man for himself… gone are the days when women sleep with men who cldnt be bothered to protect themselves let alone their partners..

abeg, lets get honest honest and honest only opinions of our African men, about how they would regard such a woman relationship wise

So because of their “regard” we as women should be at a disadvantage. Well, some of us aren’t made for men’s regard, and men shouldn’t feel like we are either. Sounding borderline “apologetic” for lack of a better word is a part of the problem.

I seem to b old fashioned ooooo…. have humans been reduced to ‘animals’ dt we carry condoms about because we lack self control? We just take condoms every where we go because we may need it anytime, at any place? Just thinking out loud. I wonder what we would pass down to younger generations. Imagine a mother teaching her child what/how to pack her hand bag…. ensure you always have a note pad, a pen, …. and a condom. You never can tell when you would need one.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion in this regard. Some ladies I know don’t go out (especially parties) without a condom. It’s not like they are promiscuous…as V would say, you never know…

Nearly 25 MILLION Sub-Saharan Africans are HIV positive and you mean to tell me we are still asking whether it’s ‘okay’ for a woman to carry a condom? You mean to say some of us are still more concerned with others thinking we ‘lack self control’? TWENTY FIVE. MILLION. SUB-SAHARAN. AFRICANS. ARE. HIV. POSITIVE. But carrying a condom in your purse is the one that will kill you, abi? What kind of nonsense.

Someone said a woman carrying a condom is a hustler??? Why are women who carry condoms automatically prostitutes? Na wa o! It is called being safe!

Only a prostitute walks around with condom , is a total turn off . That changes “Everything” , I understand the fact that we need to protect ourselves but we mustn’t forget , this is Africa !! And people read meanings to things a lot .. And besides sleeping around / fornication is a SIN . Give your life to Christ and save it for the wedding night . It’s a pity that living a sinful life is the new Norm , I pray God have mercy on us all .. AMEN

But this YOUR belief. Don’t impose it. Not everybody wants to give their life up for some super Saiyan. There’s not thing wrong with having protected sex. Ppl like you are the reason why we’re not able to have an open dialogue about sex. Knowledge is power.

Also i hope you know that its possible to contract an std or sti whilst being married?

It’s not okay for either a man or woman to walk around with condom. There’s something called “Self-Control”

It is more than OK for women to carry condoms. In school I was even taught that we should. And as well as there’s men condoms, there’s also condoms for females (Google it before you say I’m lying). Safety first abeg..before una don catch one disease because the guy didn’t have a condom, when a female herself could’ve also provided one

Abstinence will always be the best form of protection but in this day and age where 13 yr olds are treated for chlamydia then yes, please do carry condoms if you are not practicing abstinence.

HIV rates and even abortion rates among women in particular would be lower, if women have been able to whip out their condom whenever the need arises. Besides women have a higher chance anatomically of being infected with any STDs, so why should she leave her safety in the hope that the man is ready with a condom.
    Use #fiestacondoms
Ps. Married people use condoms too for various reasons not connected to cheating.
