This season, House of Kaya’s press note talks about the Kaya woman and her evolution through life, from her innocence as a babe through rebellion of teenage-hood and the final realization of her purpose. This woman metaphorically represents the many other women who are born into the modest ways of the North and their battle with tradition that leads them to a better self realization.
For such a woman, I imagine finding a fashionable yet modest clothing would be a battle of its own. It is for that woman that I think Kaya’s SS16 collection is dedicated to. I also assume she’d want femininity and room for ample graceful movement while covered.
But I wonder, if you were ever to be that woman, what would you think of this?
