Watch 1st Governor of Bayelsa State Diepreye Alamieyeseigha’s Funeral

The first-ever Governor of Bayelsa State Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was buried in his hometown, Amassoma.
Born on the 16th of November 1952, he died on the 10th of October 2015.

The funeral was attended by former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience. Jonathan has often described Alamieyeseigha as his mentor as the two became close when the former President served as his deputy before ascending to the National stage.
