You could spice up movie nights by adding some candle glow and laying on a blanket on the floor with some lovely snacks to nibble on.

Also, you could buy suya, and drive to the beach and just chat; reflect on the progress you have made in the marriage, and future plans.

Eating out is always nice, but chale I gain so much weight from that whereas my husbands remains slim.

You could organize a games night with other friends and couples; that is always fun.

My husband and I will sometimes just play some good music, and dance our ‘heads’ off; we find it so much fun (smooching and all)

Listen to some good jazz music, and just appreciate yourselves.

Hey guys, thank you so so so much for this vlog, really timely. I had a little misunderstanding with the hubs just last night. He is such a workaholic and he can very easily choose a business meeting or work/responding to emails over a date night. I was upset at him cos we had planned a date night on monday (public holiday) and he just cancelled last minute and went for a meeting instead. He just started a new company so that is his love right now…lol

The annoying thing however is he expects me to understand because he says he is doing all these to provide for our new family. I actually understand considering the fact that i am also a career person but it is very easy to drift apart when situations like this continue.

I didn’t even know i had been secretly angry at him, until yesterday morning i was just upset for no apparent reason and i snapped at him. We decided to talk last night but honestly it didn’t help. He thinks i should understand but i feel that whatever you don’t create time for you will NEVER have time for.

Please help oooo. We used to make an effort to hangout once a week or every 2 weeks when we were dating but it hasn’t quite happened since we got married.

Any ideas on what we can do?

P.s, hanging out in lagos usually revolves around food, drinks or the movies. Are there other enjoyable things couples can do?

Sorry for my epistle, i’m still upset sef…

    Thank you.

[email protected] you guys have kids yet, I bet kids change a lot ? cos mehn, I miss those days, since we had kids, its been so hard to do all those things with my hubby again, esp cos they are To play scrabble with my hubby is a task, cos my cuties will always scatter the game….and then I could be watching late night movie with hubby and my little one just comes out of bed crying mommy…im happy we gave some time before we started havg kids..and I cant wait for them to grow older and less demanding of me/us. so we can go back to romance again. Im in the process of hiring a nanny sha, hopefuly we can have a lot more “us” time. I remember my last birthday, I woke up and found a lot of cute posters all around the house, my hubby wrote a lot of things he loves about me, I was so wowed..and then he had selected a couple of songs, and we started the morning dancing together in the sitting room, smooching and all, we had barely danced 10 mins when my toddler came out from the bed and started crying for food..that was how the birthday romance ended..LOL…bUT anyway, im not complaining, I love my kids, they are a blessing, when they grow older, we will get back to honeymoon..LOL
