#ThrowbackThursday: Here are 5 Ever-Green Songs from Music Legend Sir Victor Uwaifo



Veteran Nigerian Musician, Writer, Sculptor & inventor of musical instruments, Sir Victor Uwaifo turned 76 yesterday, 1st of March, 2017. As we wish him a very happy birthday, we would like to take a look at some of his greatest works over the years.

Sir Victor Uwaifo is famous mostly for his special brand of “Joromi” music. In fact, his song “Joromi” has legendary status in the Nigerian music industry today as well as his “Guitar Boy” and “Mami Water” which he insists is the birth of an encounter with an actual “mami water” while lounging on Bar Beach in Lagos.

Apart from these evergreen works, we will also give you recent works which he has done, some with the top artists today including “Kirikisi” which he featured Ice Prince, “Tupepe” featuring 2Baba and then “Bobozi“.

    It is obvious that whoever wrote this article knows nothing about sir victor uwaifo… songs with ice price and tuface ke???? With all the loads of evergreen songs he has. You should go back and review his albums… while you are at it…. Mr Austerity by the legend is very suitable for NIgeria at the moment.
