African Booty Scratcher” is a comedy series about a family of Nigerian immigrants and their struggle to balance wanting a better life for their son – Ayo. His parents, Ann & Tunde try to make him maintain their traditional values and cultural identity.

The name of the series has since been changed from “African Booty Scratcher” to “African Time” but it’s still just as hilarious.

The series was created, written and produced by Damilare Sonoiki, one of the writers of American comedy series “Black-ish”.

Just watched the pilot and didnt like it one bit. Maybe we taste differently. Even the father is not pronouncing ayodeji properly and the plot is just blaaaaa with the mother just smiling sheepleshly. Didnt enjoy the pilot at all. The family series that chronicled the life of the Adesinas that aired in the UK and was featured on this blog is one million times better than this series cos of its orginilaity even though the adesinas one was an observational documentary. Good luck to Mr. cowriter of Blackish. Even the Adebanjos one was below par. The only one ive ever enjoyed was https://www.bellanaija.com/2010/11/east-london-based-nigerian-family-the-adesinas-draw-in-1-2-million-viewers-for-uk-channel-4s-the-family/
