A comment so stupid, you had to post it twice.

Oh yes! How original. Join the bandwagon of lameness and relish in the collective celebration of an unfunny, overused, worn out shtick. Keep on going. That is where you truly belong.
      Embarrassing.

@Iselogunishe and all other rats – we do not care what you had for dinner. If you see cabonara will you recognise it? Better people on this blog do not have time for this your shit.

Toke did not ask you to click. BN has been taken over by juvenile deliquents. Why rain on another woman’s parade? Who cares what you had for dinner and your ramshackled life? Get lost losers this is no longer funny. In case you don’t know, plenty people want to listen to Toke. Jealous bitches.

Really guys??? On another woman’s hustle?? If you don’t like her, then don’t comment at all. I guess supporting one another is only based on the ‘others’ personality. She might be a lot of things but at least she works hard on her brand.
How will you feel if for every achievement you make people try to bring you down just because they don’t like you?? That’s just mean and petty. Pretty much disappointed.

Thank you Buttercup!! And it’s people like her that GOD will lift up so high. A lot of commentators did not even watch the video, yet they want to spew hateful comments because it’s Toke . The heart of man is truly wicked. Trying to drag her down cause she has been bold and ambitious about going for what she wants. Such is life. It will only add to her testimony .

Whether you choose to agree or not, she is well composed. She raised a lot of valid points. And as a woman she’s touched a part of your being, even if it’s in one word she spoke, you felt it. And that’s the all purpose… there is strength in being vulnerable as a woman or a man

Oh now i see that these are not BN BVs
These are jobless pro trolls possibly hired by a scornful winch and bish to bring down a harmless girl.
Then another possible explanation for this “food junkies charade” is that; those with the ” flavoured down parts” who could not put up with her comments/ views bout same, on ELs moments, including her notes bout STDs in her book.
Try and forgive her and face reality or choke on your bile.
NB. Only unrepentant ‘winches and bishes’ act this way, check yourself!

I feel so bad for Toke, she’s always bashed on any blog where there’s a post about her.
I don’t see her as an inspiration and I do have my reservations about her online personality. I would easily scroll by a post about her but I’m endeared to click when I see so many comments. So I click, wondering what the comments are about, only for me to see food littered everywhere. I guess it’s a way to say ‘we don’t care’.

But I really want to know why Toke is disliked so much. So who would be kind enough to give a valid answer to this question?

    • Shalewa

      June 30, 2017 at 2:07 am

@therealdee We honestly just don’t care anymore! its obvious in the comment section! she over exposed zero mystery, she has over flogged this ONbecoming thingy it hafff do na…. We have tons of women doing remarkable things in the society but no bellanaija will focus on only Toke and co. we want new things fresh stories! look at Bolanle? she comes off real and relatable! This chic isn’t doing anything remarkable! She works for ebonylife! she aint no boss! Now she has to keep up with the fake life she keeps posting on social media! unnecessary pressure…no hate over here trust me we are just done with her fakery… And on that note I’m having Ofada rice and sauce! peppery yoruba meal! LMAO

Have you ever stopped a lunatic to ask what ails him? Cos you’ll have better luck that way than with this lot, and that’s not meant as an insult -it’s the truth. I don’t think it matters why they hate her nor do I think she should be pitied for it; rather, I think one should wonder why God has blessed her so much that her enemies misery won’t let them move on. Pray for her enemies instead.

When you live your life in the public eye,get ready for people to have an opinion about you even when they don’t know you. Toke is a strong woman, she is a go getter so I don’t know why people are here taking pain killers for her. Whoever started this good stuff is so funny and the way people flowed along with is is even more hilarious. Anyways this is what comes with fame, the hate and the love and sometimes it can never have a common ground. ❤️

I think most people are just bored of this On Becoming saga. I love Toke she’s done so well for herself and she let something that was bad go – which I hope has helped others. There was certainly a story to be told but mehn we haff heard. Glad this is the last bus stop of the tour. It’s time to work on a new project, something worthwhile and edifying not drama and story time. She should remember it’s all vanity and try to create a legacy that speaks to more than ‘I left my cheating scumbag of a husband.’

    • June

      June 30, 2017 at 11:14 am

Hi Sisi, did you watch the video ? Her book has gone beyond the simplicities of her marriage. Most people people in these comments are not even reading the articles or watching the videos to enable them constructive comments. It’s Toke- so hate comments are on an all time high on BN. And most these nasty comments are coming from her own country men. Everything does not boil down to her marriage. People should think outside the box and try applying the deeper message to other parts of their life.

    • Olope

Then block your virtual ears, or do something to make people talking too. Who died and made you sorry lot God to dictate to her when it’s over? Guess what, she’s still making money off of it, and you lot are using up data, time and energy to help her continue to make more money. The wise thing to do when you are truly done if to ignore talks about her. Not doing that but claiming to have had enough smack of envy, and even Ray Charles would have been able to see it. You all can keep fooling yourselves that you are not envious because there is nothing about her to emulate. Say it until you believe it – hopefully, your lives haven’t passed you by by then.

The reason why people hate Toke is cos she is actually not intelligent, she jumped and graced différents beds as an undergraduate and even till now and then suddenly she is celebrated.

Why? because she is not ashamed to be in people’s faces. You know that kind of guts come from when you are also not ashamed to sleep with your dad and grandpa’s age mates or even break homes etc….but it has worked for her!

My only issue is there are many very intellliegent women, more successful and have real tangible achievements out there who are not known neither celebrated….but then, this in Nigeria, it is the world where we live now…

Imagine Toke getting Nickelodeon kids choice..what do they know, soon they will think it is ok to be wayward and gutsy.

    Goodluck

      June 30, 2017 at 2:48 pm

For your mind abi ???? Toke is not intelligent ??? Yes, that’s why you Madame intelligent spent time, energy and data to write this epistle on someone who is not intelligent abi ??? Gracing beds cause you were right there with her or as a fly on the wall??????.
Is your grandfather or great grandfather missing ???? Yes she has the guts to be ambitious and follow her dreams!! Your only issue indeed !! There will always be people more creative , intelligent in this world . THE QUESTION ISSSS do they have the drive , ambition , discipline , focus to truly follow their dreams ???
Yes all the people who according to you are more successful and have more achievements will not be known cause they do not have the BALLS to put themselves out there to inspire and motivate others or so learn from them??? What’s there to celebrate if we do not know their stories ??? The actual struggle to be where they are today?? Wayward and gusty indeed!!! And keep your “goodluck”!!!!! It’s obvious you do not mean it!!!!!

Uche eze (ceo BN) was bullied a lot in fggc onitsha even her sister amaka so she must know what it feels like. For you to have this platform and now use it to encourage bullying of undeserving hardworking people by allowing people who post random made up lunches and downright abuses- it says a great deal about you and your team and your values if you have any . your team control the posts, we know because lord knows when I (and some other people can testify ) spend my hard earned time typing the truth about anything on here, it’s never posted because I haven’t abused someone or it’s not controversial enough. You’ve got to be the change you want to see and I don’t give 2 hoots if you post this comment but it’s about time you stopped this hypocrisy and use your platform positively. Like I said I don’t care if you block me or don’t post my comment. Couldn’t care less.

Spot on. I wrote a long post about this few days ago that never made it past due unspecified error, so I had to summarize in another post. What kind of people allow others to use their platform to bully others just for the sake of getting traffic? Or how else does one rationalize this madness? In saner environs, they will be liable for emotional trauma.

    I love hearing Toke speak.
She’s eloquent and intelligent and her diction is on point, no phoneh.. Either Mo Abudu has rubbed off on her or she has a great trainer.
Even when the interviewer tried to get her to speak bad about Maje, she found away to bring the question back to herself.
Toke, me i like you o. Even if i’m not interested in your story, i’m definitely interested in the way you construct your words and your delivery.

It’s get awkward with Anele and Toke by 32:06. Very uncomfortable actually. Esp when Anele keeps cautioning Toke in Xhosa. I noticed how Toke speaks a lot. She speaks ALOT (lots of people have a non-stop talk nature, nothing new). However, she’s well spoken. Anele, good interview though I also noticed a sense of condescension.
