South East Governors meet with Nnamdi Kanu
The South East Governors Forum on Wednesday met with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu in a closed door meeting.
The news was revealed by Emmanuel Uzor, the Chief Press Secretary of the Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi.
He said the call by IPOB for citizens to boycott the Anambra elections could be the most important issue to discuss.
He wrote on his Facebook page:
Happening Now: Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in a crucial meeting with the South East Governors Forum under the leadership of Gov David Umahi in Government House, Enugu….stay tuned as I update you on the outcome of the meeting which agitation and call for boycott of Anambra election may top list…. Ndigbo must have a direction…
According to Vanguard, the governors and IPOB leader Kanu discussed general security issues plaguing the country, and the South East region specifically.
The call by the Attorney General of the Federation’s office for the Federal High Court to revoke Kanu’s bail, after he flouted his bail conditions, was also one of the issues discussed.
The meeting is a continuous process, they said.
Nnamdi Kanu had last week met with Senators from the South East, where he said IPOB will never be violent.

why should they not give him attention???..i have come to agree that this matter is bigger than Kanu..the reason he is gaining relevance is because of severe poverty in the land…..the environment breeds this kind of issues…i hope an amicable solution can be found
