BellaNaija - Kenyans are not happy with Tekno's performance in Nairobi and here is why

Nigerian singer and Made Men Music Group frontline act Tekno was in Nairobi, Kenya over the weekend to headline a show “The Wave with Tekno“, but supposedly didn’t impress the audience with his performance.

A lot of Kenyans went on Twitter after the show to condemn the performance especially as they had to fork out huge amounts to attend the show.

Twitter user (@itsmorara) created a thread explaining what went down at the event. Read below:

The Disk Jockey at the show DJ Creme however went on his Twitter to absolve himself of all blame, accusing Tekno of not being in sync with the band.

Kenyans however were not impressed with the performance in general:

Tekno is indeed a sh*tty live performer even though we love his actual music. He is always unprepared, seems high, disoriented and obviously hasn’t sound checked or rehearsed with his team. This has happened in 2 shows where I’ve watched him. He’s not worth paying to see. Just buy his studio recorded music on itunes and keep it moving I guess. He’s not quite taking his art seriously.

Not just him almost all Nigerian artists do not prepare for live performances. They collect money for shit performance. Pay to see flavour and psquare. Forget the rest of them. Just buy their albums

I went to the 2017 One Africa Fest in NYC and Tekno had the ability to have a GREAT performance because of how many hits he has. Unfortunately, it was not a great performance and I was disappointed. Flavour, Tiwa Savage, Timaya, P Square & Shatta Wale were great performers!
