Kenyans are not happy with Tekno’s performance in Nairobi and here is why
Nigerian singer and Made Men Music Group frontline act Tekno was in Nairobi, Kenya over the weekend to headline a show “The Wave with Tekno“, but supposedly didn’t impress the audience with his performance.
A lot of Kenyans went on Twitter after the show to condemn the performance especially as they had to fork out huge amounts to attend the show.
Twitter user (@itsmorara) created a thread explaining what went down at the event. Read below:
So this is how it went down at #TheWaveWithTekno ?? pic.twitter.com/m4p0hSOeqD

Hype Balo and Mc Dwayne Bryce with some Telkom dancers plus some Dj(I don’t remember who he was) do some good hype set.

Tekno enters the stage at 3am. The fans are super crazy about him.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
He is dressed on a Maasai shuka, white coat, black tee and pants.
He begins with a play back of “BE”, Samantha then GO.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
He continues with play backs and the band doing less. He performs Wash and Pana.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
While Performing Pana, Dj Creme messes things. Ninja Creme be playing diana on Bass. Tekno is disappointed.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
He(Tekno) continues though. Now he performs DURO.
Midway, the sound is whack. Tekno demands for the song to be stopped.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
Creme repeats hoping he’ll better the situation but still Tekno stops and the crowd starts to boo.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
Dj Tee Bwoy comes to rescue Creme. Duro is repeated the 3rd time. This time it’s atleast.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
He finishes with RARA. Does it twice ??
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
During his perform, those thirst ghels lined up at the edge of the stage climb on stage to twerk for Tekno.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
But niccur ignores them ?
The body guards on stage were each time forced to pull them down.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
And on top of the stage, it was crowded with the guys that were on back stage. All of them trying to record Tekno.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
Anyway, the show was good but performance was not that good.
— M O R A R A (@itsmorara) September 10, 2017
The Disk Jockey at the show DJ Creme however went on his Twitter to absolve himself of all blame, accusing Tekno of not being in sync with the band.
Last Night was mad Liiit! On the flip side , Tekno wasn’t in sync with his band, then dude blames me ..no hard feelings tho. Stay Humble ??
— Creme De La Creme (@cremedj) September 10, 2017
Kenyans however were not impressed with the performance in general:
The Tekno concert was a complete fail. This one I even have to write a blog post coz a thread won’t explain the utter BS that was!!!
— Mwende Ngao ?? (@mwendesusu) September 10, 2017
Instead of performing tekno kept shouting I love you Nairobi. And that was when we decided to leave and watch him on Youtube.
— Ettenna (@nettymitai) September 10, 2017
