‘Playboy’ founder Hugh Hefner has died of natural causes at the age of 91.

His death was confirmed by his son Cooper Hefner in a statement saying:

My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom. He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history. He will be greatly missed by many, including his wife Crystal, my sister Christie and my brothers David and Marston, and all of us at Playboy Enterprises.

Hugh Hefner launched Playboy magazine in 1953, which became an iconic global brand.

You may not have approved of his career or life direction but this man lived a great life. He was truly a maverick and a pioneer. Kendra would be really devastated. She truly loved him as a boyfriend during those Playboy hay days and after. Hopefully he gave his life to Christ. I once read about an American pastor that went to preach to him. RIP Sir.

I once looked at a portrait of his and irrespective of the wealth and trappings around him you could clearly see written on his face that he was not a happy man. Hope he knew Jesus before he died

Reading comments from my fellow countrymen always breaks my heart. Nigeria would never develop if our people still think like this. Who made you God to decide someone’s fate! So because you pray to Jesus that makes you a good person? Because he openly dated and lived grown adult women that makes him immoral and bad. For Shame man!

But who on this comment thread can judge?

I wish others would just live their lives, show love to others without being judgmental and condescending. Are your sins more forgiving in God’s eyes? No, then just pass through without judging
