It is untrue that President Buhari is travelling tomorrow – Presidency

The presidency has debunked rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday be travelling to the United States on Donald Trump‘s invitation.

Lauretta Onochie, President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Social Media said the news is untrue.

In a post on Twitter, she wrote:

It’s not true that @NGRPresident @MBuhari is Set For a USA Trip tomorrow, Monday 4/9/2017. Pres Buhari always informs Nigerians of his trips

The president was reportedly honouring an invitation Trump had made since his inauguration in February.
