On a forthcoming episode of My Next Guest Needs no Introduction with David Letterman, JAY-Z talks about his mother’s coming out experience and the joy he felt for her finally living as her truest self.

The hip hop mogul revealed that he shed tears when she finally told him because she could now be free to live her life.

The full interview is slated for an April 6th release on Netflix.
