  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Cornstarch
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1-3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Nutmeg

    Please in Naija terms what is butter? Do you mean butter in paper or can margarine do?
    what is corn starch? do you mean powdered ogi?
    Please come nearer home in a language we understand

      I think when she means butter she actually means butter and the corn starch I know is not ogi. I usually see it sold in those yellow custard like containers.

      Hi Kemi, this is Lola from I used butter not Margarine.

      Cornstarch is sold in large supermarkets like Shoprite, park ‘n’ shop or the likes. It can also be found at specialty baking stores.

      It is best to use cornstarch for this recipe, however, if you can’t find it just replace it with flour in the same quantity. I hope that helps?
