This week came and rushed us in the beginning. Perhaps it was because of the public holidays and people having time on their hands, but those first two days were a riot. But work resumed and it’s been quiet since. Let’s go on a recap of what went down.
*pretends to be shocked that Maraji, a Christian in Nigeria, did what she did.*
What did she do? Right on Eid el Kabir, the ace comedian wrote on her Insta Stories that Jesus is the only way to heaven and muslims and christians don’t worship the same god—you know, the same divisive thing we all heard in primary school.
Frankly, we’re surprised not by the posts, but by those who were surprised. Because, you know, isn’t that what most religious Nigerians believe?
The Christians roasting Maraji are the most stupid set of people on this planet. I can’t even believe this.
If you can’t stand for Christ at all times because it’s a “sensitive” topic then are you even a Christian?

I don't think there is anything wrong in what #Maraji said
It is simply the truth pic.twitter.com/ZcTWM3E9tq

I was gonna say Maraji’s post was insensitive Cos of the time she posted then I realized she posted on Sunday pic.twitter.com/zSuap3P17J
— ZAHEER! (@iam_YCee) August 12, 2019
Thinking what Maraji said is offensive is like saying being a Christian is offensive, no one should be offended. If a Muslim says what they believe in and that they don’t believe in Jesus I wouldn’t be offended because we cannot all believe in the same things.
— Ifeoluwadamisi? (@JireAgbetunsin) August 12, 2019
Maraji simply said what many of you have been saying since forever. Stop pretending.

Atheist twitter be looking at all the maraji Christian X Muslim bants like….. pic.twitter.com/zs91wwOpeO
— CoLiN_SNoW ❁ (@snillo_) August 12, 2019
I woke up & saw Maraji trending & I thought oh wow, new video for me to watch/laugh. Only to see her trending for this, well honestly IDC what she thinks. As Muslims, we believe in Jesus as the prophet of Allah not son of GOD, we believe we're going to Jannah? so na she sabi fam pic.twitter.com/VpwlMCclVg
— AbdulJabbar ?? (@_ajay_69) August 12, 2019
The families we are born to is the number one factor that influences our religion or belief. If Maraji was born into a Muslim family, chances are she'll be Muslim, in which she might still come to IG to proclaim Allah as the one true God and cancel Christianity.

DJ Arafat Passes
DJ Arafat from Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday died in a traffic accident. The widely-loved DJ was on his motor-bike on Sunday when he ran into a car and sustained injuries that led to his death.
Arafat’s death has been hard to take, both by fans and friends. He truly was loved, and the government has said a tribute will be held in his honour.
"It is impossible. He cannot die."

Khafi and the Met Police
Obviously, it was nothing as dramatic as the Sun put it. Really, though, the police officer should probably have resigned before coming to appear on the show. If you aren’t granted permission and you go ahead, you just might be facing a sack. Let’s hope she gets off the hook for this one.
Met Police is even making me like Khafi the more.
— ZubbyGodson?️ (@ZubbyGodson22) August 13, 2019
I seriously see no reason why they're creating a fuss about Khafi.
Yes, she had sex in the house and the whole police force wants to sack her. She's not a kid and she's responsible for her action.
So you all should leave her alone, she's not the first to do it, and not the last. pic.twitter.com/DY6OacGcYN

She's being slut shamed and her police family is turning their backs on her. For what? For showing love?.. yes she's not perfect but who is?. We're all she's got now so let's vote for her. We still need her positive vibes. Text VOTE Khafi to 32052. #bbnaija pic.twitter.com/L0WC1QSQk1

Should a British police officer be sacked after taking time off to appear on Big Brother in Nigeria?
— Jeremy Vine On 5 (@JeremyVineOn5) August 14, 2019
#khafi has served her purpose as a police officer and now moving unto bigger things in life…
Don't crucify her…Support her, She is going places!

Actually, the song is titled Gelato. But, anyway, the song is typical DJ Cuppy: an automatic viral sensation. There are the staple unforgettable lines like “Who is your daddy? Ote$!” and the easy to sing along to rhythm. Do we need to say that we love it?
Cuppy Ft Zlantan – #Gelato
Song has leaked & it's all over the internet.
I just feel I should upload it for those who's yet to listen to it.
Anyways, the song ain't bad. Zlantan killed it.
Cuppy also played her part perfectly.
I rate the song 7/10.

The part where Zlatan asks Cuppy "Who is your Daddy???" and she responds with "Otedola" slaps hard #Gelato ???

Cuppy, Who is your daddy? Otedola. Babatemi Babalola.
Give them lamba, ????. #Gelato

Cuppy went to Italy alone but wants all of us to vibe to Gelato together?
— The ‘lola AKINDELE? (@fayookunmi) August 15, 2019
Cuppy : gelato
Zlatan : jilato ? ?
— Parole (@daddy_parole) August 16, 2019
Butty kid – "Gelato"
Pako pikin – "Jilato"
— i/o (@stbiggie) August 16, 2019
I honestly don't understand why people are thrashing DJ Cuppy' #Gelato. The song is actually club worthy. Only thing that made me laugh was Zlatan pronouncing "Gelato" as "Jilato"????

And that’s it for this week! If we missed anything, as usual, let us know in the comment section. Have a great weekend!
