This week came and rushed us in the beginning. Perhaps it was because of the public holidays and people having time on their hands, but those first two days were a riot. But work resumed and it’s been quiet since. Let’s go on a recap of what went down.

Maraji’s Religion

*pretends to be shocked that Maraji, a Christian in Nigeria, did what she did.*

What did she do? Right on Eid el Kabir, the ace comedian wrote on her Insta Stories that Jesus is the only way to heaven and muslims and christians don’t worship the same god—you know, the same divisive thing we all heard in primary school.

Frankly, we’re surprised not by the posts, but by those who were surprised. Because, you know, isn’t that what most religious Nigerians believe?

DJ Arafat Passes

DJ Arafat from Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday died in a traffic accident. The widely-loved DJ was on his motor-bike on Sunday when he ran into a car and sustained injuries that led to his death.

Arafat’s death has been hard to take, both by fans and friends. He truly was loved, and the government has said a tribute will be held in his honour.

Khafi and the Met Police

Obviously, it was nothing as dramatic as the Sun put it. Really, though, the police officer should probably have resigned before coming to appear on the show. If you aren’t granted permission and you go ahead, you just might be facing a sack. Let’s hope she gets off the hook for this one.

Zlatan’s Jilato

Actually, the song is titled Gelato. But, anyway, the song is typical DJ Cuppy: an automatic viral sensation. There are the staple unforgettable lines like “Who is your daddy? Ote$!” and the easy to sing along to rhythm. Do we need to say that we love it?

And that’s it for this week! If we missed anything, as usual, let us know in the comment section. Have a great weekend!
