A Sneak Peek Inside ThisDay’s ‘ARISE’

For the past few years, there have been whispers about ThisDay Media Group launching an international style magazine. There were world renowned photographers flown into Nigeria, photoshoots featuring African supermodels all over the world and finally the series of ThisDay Africa Rising shows.
Well, the magazine named ‘ARISE‘ was finally launched at the Royal Albert Hall in London during the last ThisDay Africa Rising show.
So was it worth the wait?
Absolutely!
This mag is stunning. The content is vast and exceptionally-well put together.
A melange of African pop culture. There was no stone left unturned that I am a lil’ bit concerned that they might have nothing to cover in subsequent issues.
Anyway, here is an exclusive sneak peek inside the magazine.
Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek & Liya Kebebe dressed by Nigerian designers, Deola Sagoe, Fati Asibelua of MOMO Couture, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi of LDA.

from a reliable source Oluchi was suppose to be a part of the cover shoot but that same day she was shooting for American Vogue Dec issue which is out right now. Her schedules conflicted.
Excuse me people>>> Naomi is NOT African at all. Its African Rising she should not have been a part of it at all.
I think we need to move beyond this type of attitude.

its only the first issue theres still a chance for oluchi and other Nigerian model to be on the cover. Having these three supermodels grace the cover of the mag is good for the launch it will attract more attention than agbani and olucni.
plus its about africa arising not only nigerians. Nigerians should learn to share!
Naomi lokks fierce as always! loves it!
Beautiful Style on even more beautiful women!
am sorry but the on the cover the all i can see as the title is “arse” (pls not in a bad way, it’s just an observation) cos somehow the “i” is not really making an impact on the name of the mag, it’s just there like a dividing line btw the other four letters..can anyone else see it
Its glaring, dont know how you are seeing yours but its really glaring nothing hidden at all.
Let’s forgive the party pooper…she didn’t know. Moving on…the clothes on them are uber fab!! Go Africa….
Uh oh, eh he eh he, look at our Naija designers doing well. Yay!
I like the fact that they were dressed by Nigerian Designers. There is hope!!!
