New Music: Korkormikor – Delete Them All

Published

 on

In the past few years, the Niger-Delta area of Nigeria has delivered a number of artistes that have broken into mainstream. The list, though short comprises a power-group of sorts which includes Timaya, Duncan Mighty and on a smaller scale, Frank D’Nero.

In the same vein, we see Korkormikor. He is a native of the oil rich Bayelsa state, and bears the story of struggle synonymous with entertainers from that region. He’s reportedly big in Port-Harcourt, but whether he can also make the cross-over into the mainstream just like his forebears is only a matter of time.

Korkormikor serves a rich helping of Niger-Delta influenced reggae at its rawest form. Delete them all is an unpretentious onslaught on the proverbial (and might I add, ubiquitous) ‘hater’ and holds nothing back as far as wishing ‘them’ ill is concerned.
