I guess I’m the only one who’s neither a fan of the video nor of Naeto C. I lived in Miami for several years and this is probably one of the few videos that managed to not capture the essence of Miami. Not exactly either the artist or director’s fault since they are not from the 305, but the video is just there to me because it was entirely based on location versus concept, and it didn’t really represent Miami (besides showing the Ocean Drive street sign).
Now Naeto C’s lyricism and rap skills? That’s another thing. I wonder if those rumors of Ikechukwu co-writing or penning his lyrics are true. Cos since their split, Naeto’s “P” has dropped sharply in my eyes. He wore that tight (maroon?) wife-beater at a recent show (Was it MTN Power summin?) and I didn’t like it then. Nor do I like it now.
Wish him the best success he can have, but I’m not really a fan. His songs are becoming monotonous, and oh, he’s not the only MC with an M.Sc. eLDee got his master’s way before Naeto. But maybe he just needed the line to rhyme.

Hey Buddy – Nice video, beautiful song. Glad you never fell short of your goals. BTW,was just asked what I use to motivate myself each day in the gym. If you are motivated purely by vanity, achieving a certain look for the sake of addressing your own insecurities or because you think it will impress some third party subjective person then I have bad news. You will not only fall short of your goals but you will lead a meaningless and shallow existence. Training like a warrior is the foundation for growth and success be it in sports, business, relationships etc. Training arms my tool belt if you will with the weapons necessary to battle life. Looking fit is merely a byproduct of the blood and sweat equity deposited each and every day. It is the mental strength and intestinal fortitude I derive from those punishing 90 minutes each day which which give me the confidence and power to be successful in my other endeavors. Don’t train for vanity, don’t train to achieve physical perfection – PERFECTION IS A MYTH.It doesn’t exist. That is a complete shallow and useless existence. Show me a person motivated by looks and I will show you a person who is mentally weak and has a significant lack of development in the rest of their life. I hope all of you who read this will try to understand what I am saying and apply it to your life. I guarantee you will never feel more fulfilled. Feelings of envy and jealousy will start to dissipate from your mind.You will no longer feel the need to put others down or trash people behind their back as you will now have real confidence. You wont feel the need to brag about your accomplishments as your words only cheapen any significance they may have ever had. You will become more self aware and less internally focused. You will seek out to help others without an underlying tone of self promotion. You will truly be sincere and subsequently YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!

Thank you e-bukun. Cos you helped supply my answer to Partyrider. As much as I’m not a fan of his, you are clearly one. So should I accuse you of bias for liking him? You don’t have to drive around Miami to shoot a 4 min video. Nor do you have to leave Naija if you just want to shoot beach scenes. He flew to Miami for a reason I presume. Well, that reason wasn’t captured in the video is my point. Unless his point was to show efizzy that he can afford to shoot in Miami, in which case, nothing do him. There was nothing unique about it. Whether I’m a fan or not has nothing to do with that opinion. Maybe you are biased into liking it cos you are a fan. I liked Kini big deal and even his song with Asa. So I’m not above giving credit where I think it’s deserving. Overall, I’m not impressed by his artistry. If you like, don’t like it. What’s my business.
FYI, there are tons of songwriters who may not be successful artists for a number of reasons. That’s why ghostwriters exist. Few people know who Johnta Austin is, but he’s made millions from songwriting and producing for stars. Yet his attempt to release an album was unsuccessful, despite having a great voice. I don’t know what Ikechukwu’s reason is cos I’m not as familiar with the Naij industry, nor do I know him personally. But considering that becoming a successful artiste in Naij can have just as much to do with having the money to fund extravagant videos that’ll get you airplay or sponsoring your own tours as it does to actually have talent, I’m not one to figure out why Ikechukwu isn’t making noise. I do know he’s got way more talent than Naeto C.
First of all what is your problem? whether i`m a fan or not this video is on point. BTW cut that crap that he went to miami to shot his video because of beaches come on. every artist worldwide does that…jayz went to trinidad to shot big primping, alacia when to asia to shot of his video, sometimes they all go to Barbados or bahamas to shot video; so dont come with that saying of going somewhere else to shoot a video was an issue for u. Also, your comment on him not as talent as ikechukwu shows that you are a hater. Music is about talent and hardwork. if you have a talent and you dont try to perfect it with a lot of hardwork..you will fail. Naeto C is a great guy with good intellect that reflect on his music. ikechukwu is good as well, but what is affecting is music is his arrongancy. If you are talented, cool and humble…people will buy your music cos people can understand who you are. ikechukwu is not like that, he flip flops a lot ( from storms to Mohit and not even sure where he is now), fights a lot (at the club and with d-banj sometime ago)……. listen, if you dont understand how music business works just keep quiet. even if naeto c makes crapy music, pple will buy it because he is consistent and people can understand his music which is what is needed…….wana head to head holla @ayo1702

I am not a Huge fan of his but I think he’s good at what he does (besides who decides which artist is the best and which artist is not?). Altho I loooooooovvvvvveeee his 10/10 song! its a confidence booster! Fact is, I appreciate the challenges most of these artists face and so I try to encourage them to keep them going.
