Which Bride is Next? - Coming Soon Ad

BN met the creative director of HO9 – Leke Adenuga in September 2011, when he and his team first activated a teaser on billboards tagged “Which Bride is Next?  – Coming Soon”. This ad got the metropolitan city of Lagos asking whether it was yet another magazine, event or expo?

Leke Adenuga

Leke Adenuga who also happens to be a renowned events photographer with QF – a leading photography outfit in Lagos, gave us the full scoop on what to expect from the show and the brains behind it. In a statement, he said “We know and are prepared to be subject to scrutiny. A lot of what we push on this project is to go all out to ensure this reality show coming from Nigeria would have African countries and other parts of the world buying her franchise.”

To promote the host city – Lagos, Leke Adenuga and his team secured an endorsement from the state Ministry of Tourism and Intergovernmental Relations.

If memory serves me correctly, Bridalplasty is a show about brides winning plastic surgery procedures as well as other prizes towards a dream wedding. Is that whats happening here, or did you just read “bride” and start hissing.

    • uche April 6, 2012 at 2:11 am

How is this anywhere near bridalplasty? Bridalplasty is a show that gives PLASTIC SURGERY to brides. This one is talking about planning the perfect wedding for the brides. Did you see anything about plastic surgery? You Nigerians sef. Always ready to bash your country. SMH

  • Maxine Calèche April 4, 2012 at 10:40 am

Wow! congrats HO9!!! sounds FAB already…. well, wot was I expecting from a classy production company like HO9?!! Always thinking ahead, trying to take Nigeria forward inspite of all the odds…. I have read the idea they r trying to push… doesn’t sound sound like “bridal plasty” or “whose wedding is it anyway”…. infact, I dare say “they ain’t got nothing on this one!”. I think as Nigerians, we are so used to getting rubbish from the media that we can’t appreciate creativity when it finally trickles along. Well, I’d say “very well done HO9!” looking forward to this one with a very open mind…….

    • Jesus Buck April 9, 2012 at 6:59 pm

Only one thing I know is more disgusting than stupidity: an audacious ignorance. Did you guys just call “Bridal Plasty” around this stuff? Oh oh ooo! So daft of you. This concept is to put together a dream wedding for some couples, with the best vendors in the industry at their call…all for FREE. Wish I were just three years older and riper to settle. Believe me I would be the first to fly with this. Fellow Nigerians, do me a favor, give it to your kinsman when he gets the bull eye. Stop daft criticism, please. Ride on, HO9! 9ja like never before! WBIN? all the way…

  • Edith Nkwocha April 4, 2012 at 3:20 pm

hmmm… looking forward to seeing the gowns.

  • ayo April 5, 2012 at 5:10 pm

If u r comparing this to bridal plasty..u must be a numb skull. Completely daft

    • uche April 6, 2012 at 2:19 am

Thank you o! I can’t even shout. I’m sure 90 percent of these people screaming bridal plasty dont even know what the show is about.

  • Bim Kolawole April 5, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Have a look at this inspiring cards – can be used for weddings and lots more

  • Eniola Henry April 5, 2012 at 7:56 pm

I cant wait to see it, and for all the “judges” in the house, dont judge a show before you see it, atleast first watch the first episode, then pronounce your judgement afterward.
To Oga Leke, QF, HO9 and the entire WBIN crew CoNgrAtu-Lo-bia

  • From TZ April 6, 2012 at 8:45 am

This is a great idea, and i reckon it will be a fun show to watch and to take part in. @legit,what you think about nigerians and you being nigerian is actually a bit sick, and NO this show is nothing like bridal plasty, yes its also in the ‘wedding industry’ but its not like bridal plasty at all from the description that Mr Adenuga gave. Try to be positive a little it will go a long way. And lets be honest, whats left to be originated? Nothing almost, because the world started a long long time ago and almost nothing is left to discovery. So dont be too hard on yourself or others unless you are the person that “discovered” Africa{if Africa was discovered that is},be easy and support your own.

  • Kella April 6, 2012 at 6:39 pm

This is a very nice concept. I wish I have enough nerve to appear on that show, humm..just too shy, lol.. My wedding comes up in September and I really dont know where to start from, dont even know what to buy first asides the gown maybe cos its not taking place in Lagos which I have a problem with already. Pls I need help, contacts of vendors outside Lagos but in the west..checklist or something..advice too..things to do first, inshort everything. Thanks.

  • chichi April 6, 2012 at 9:53 pm

great idea.FYI;i saw d first teaser billboards before bridalplasty rily started airin on dstv. Also both concepts re so entirely different.Be proud of ur country folks, even if dey tapped into d idea, dey diversified it and came up with a brighter baby.Thumbs up to d initiators

  • onyinye April 19, 2012 at 1:49 pm

i want to be a part of this show cos av been engaged to my fiance for almost four years now and we havent been able to pull our wedding together. maybe dis show will give me the chance.
by the way, its nothing like bridalplasty..maybe something like “say yes to the dress” nut with more participants.
