On Saturday 14th April 2012, Fashion House – Ella & Gabby officially launched its Autumn/Spring 2012 Collection at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The anticipated event which kicked off at exactly 5 PM, was a sight to behold as Lagos fashionistas such as Ono Bello, Franka Asindi, Ezinne Chinkata, Toyin Lawani, Lilian Unachukwu and Veronica Odeka came out in style to support the brand headed by Ada Mgbudem - a new comer into the world of fashion.
The event was anchored by Ifeoma Williams and saw performances by Timi Dakolo and Tiwa Savage. Guests were given delicious finger foods with refreshing glasses of Champagne as the models displayed the 22 piece collection on the runway to Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera’s hit track – “Moves Like Jagger”
Dubbed the hottest Nigerian fashion luxury brand, Ella & Gabby according to Fashion PRerogative will display at the forthcoming African Fashion Week, London in August 2012. The ever cheerful creative director, Ada Mgbudem said “Ella & Gabby is about 3 years in it’s actual realisation but has a been a big dream of mine and we are definitely on our way becoming a global brand”.
Didn’t attend? Don’t sweat BN has got the photos just for you.

Dear BN,
With all due and humble respect. Show more of the collection next time and less of the attendees. Personally, some of these so called celebs do not know how to dress, even if their life depended on it.
Thank you, thank you….this collection is very nice. I like it.
We already did a post on the entire collection. You can view it here. Thanks

Ohaneze ndi igbo in Lagos!!!
I don’t see other ethnic groups propping themselves on here, only Igbos. You willl never see people come and say ‘Yoruba big girls’ when Funke Fowler Kuku or Bisola Ajimobi-Daisi are featured or Hausa people shouting when the Laushis or Tukurs are on here…
Most ppl just rep for their cities – ABJ! or Lagos baby! Or Asaba! Why do igbos have to prove a point? After ALL the years we have all spent in Lagos, we still cannot mesh together as Nigerians. We must segregate ourselves. This is so disappointing.
Why does everyone have a problem with Igbos being proud of themselves? On the one Kalabari wedding posted here a few days ago a lot of Kalabaris propped themselves up and NOT ONE COMMENT in disapproval was posted. When Northerners post their events and weddings people go googoo and gaga over how beautiful, rich and classy they are. Everyone is allowed to be proud of themselves EXCEPT Igbo people (who are labeled arrogant if they do so). Yorubas can say “Omo Yoruba ni mi swagger,” and get away with it. But Igbos? Oh no!!!!! Seriously guys CHILL OUT and stop letting a few people being proud of their groups affect your self esteem. We are still Nigerians. One love, okay?
My thoughts exactly, Lol never seen that many Igbo people congregated in one event on Bella Naija, the owner of the label is obviously Igbo
Sweet and Sassy
This designer is in a world of her own. More madam. More.
Pls let us know where you will be showing in London. A lot of my friends would like to attend. This is excitingly different coming from our country Nigeria,
The babe in the green African print is enticing. Amazing collection.
