On Friday 23rd November 2012, one of the world’s leading vodka brands, Smirnoff held another exciting edition of the Smirnoff Midnight Circus Launch Party at N-Tyce, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In attendance were some of Nigeria’s most loved entertainers and personalities including Denrele Edun, Alexandra Nwokedi, Olamide, Dipp, Ruggedman, Nomoreloss, Dammy Krane, Pheel and G-Lory.
Speaking at the event, Austin Ufomba (Marketing Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc) said, “As always, Smirnoff brings the best in international nightlife to entertain its fans and with these themed events, we are once again pushing the boundaries of the party experience to ensure a night Nigerians will never forget. When fans are looking to have fun and party, we want them to always choose to do so with Smirnoff.”
According to a rep for the brand, there would be a series of parties including a 3D disco – a fusion of music, art and video as well as the Illuminato party – a soiree themed on ultra violet, neon, light and dark, soon.
A day before the event, BN selected some winners for the party, here’s Nnenna account of the event;
We had mad fun at the Smirnoff Midnight Circus Launch Party that took place on Friday 23rd November 2012 at N-Tyce, Victoria Island, Lagos.
We were delayed for a few minutes at the gate but we were later ushered in with due apologies and we couldn’t believe it when we were informed that we were VIP guests (blushing), that was a major high for us, other highs was the chance to mix our own drinks (mixology) parting with great stars like Davido, Olamide, Danny Krane and Derenle
There were no lows at all but would have preferred if they had used a much bigger space because I was at last year’s party that took place in Lagos on Saturday 12th November 2011 on the island also.
Thanks BellaNaija for putting us in the rite xmas groove mood *wink* and I hope to be invited again and again and again.
Looking forward to the December 15th 3D Disco party.

I actually had a blast at the event. Denrele is the best anchor alive, I laffed so hard esp when he brought on two white men onstage and was asking the dancers if they had their Intl passports with them. He was a good host, Smirnoff must have paid him some good cash.
It wasn’t the real deal, it was just a launch and we had fun. Davido didn’t turn up though, quite annoying.
