BN Bytes: Wale Gets a Nomination for “Best Rap Song” at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards 2013

On Wednesday, 5th November, 2012, “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!!” held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena.
The concert, which was hosted by Two-time GRAMMY winner LL Cool J and six-time GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift, announced nominations in several categories as well as featured performances by past GRAMMY winners and/or nominees - an exciting lineup of performances from the likes of Band Perry, Fun., Janelle Monáe, Hunter Hayes, Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo.
The Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach, Fun., Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Kanye West led the 55th GRAMMY Awards field with six nods each.
Most notably, Maybach Music Group ensign, Wale also got a nomination for “Best Rap Song” for his single, “Lotus Flower Bomb” featuring fellow GRAMMY nominee, Miguel.
Wale would be going up against some of the fiercest of competition in that category – Nas – “Daughters”; Kanye West Featuring Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz – “Mercy”; Drake Featuring Lil’ Wayne – “The Motto”; Jay-Z & Kanye West – “N****s In Paris” and Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa Featuring Bruno Mars – “Young, Wild & Free”

While we await the massive show to rock the Los Angeles’ Staples Center on the 10th of February, 2013, we wish the Nigerian American superstar, Wale all the best in his category and congratulate him on his GRAMMY nod.
