BN Bytes: Wale Gets a Nomination for “Best Rap Song” at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards 2013

On Wednesday, 5th November, 2012, “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!!” held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena.

The concert, which was hosted by Two-time GRAMMY winner LL Cool J and six-time GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift, announced nominations in several categories as well as featured performances by past GRAMMY winners and/or nominees – an exciting lineup of performances from the likes of Band Perry, Fun., Janelle Monáe, Hunter Hayes, Maroon 5 and Ne-Yo.

The Black KeysDan Auerbach, Fun., Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Kanye West led the 55th GRAMMY Awards field with six nods each.

Most notably, Maybach Music Group ensign, Wale also got a nomination for “Best Rap Song” for his single, “Lotus Flower Bomb” featuring fellow GRAMMY nominee, Miguel.

Wale would be going up against some of the fiercest of competition in that category – Nas“Daughters”Kanye West Featuring Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz“Mercy”Drake Featuring Lil’ Wayne“The Motto”Jay-Z & Kanye West“N****s In Paris” and Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa Featuring Bruno Mars“Young, Wild & Free”

While we await the massive show to rock the Los Angeles’ Staples Center on the 10th of February, 2013, we wish the Nigerian American superstar, Wale all the best in his category and congratulate him on his GRAMMY nod.

    Even the guy reps naija at every oppurtunity he gets so wetin be una own………..the world knows he is naij from his name even and the poster has described him the best way possible which is that he is a Nigerian American……..a title wale himself so much proud of

He helps promote naija music by remixing several 9ja songs, he reps naija everyday especially on oct 1st, he help d’banj to get votes on d last award he won aside for nt changing his name frm wale like tinie n chiddy bang did/tweeting in yoruba. Go n download his remix of naeto c “kini big deal” n “my sweetie” n listen to wat he said b4 u continue sayin nonsense
