The Diamond Collection! Photos from the Folake Majin, Miss Majin and GM4FM Fashion Show

On the 27th of December 2012 at Eko Hotel and Suites guests from different sectors and industries witnessed the unveiling of the “Diamond Collection” by Folake Majin. The show featured the “Midnight Rainbow” collection by Miss Majin and the “Earth” collection by GM4FM and was sponsored by telecommunications company, MTN. The event which was hosted by on-air-personality Olisa Adibua had a dual purpose – displaying amazing fashion and creating awareness for Sickle Cell Anaemia (SCD) – which is the the most common type of sickle cell disease.
Beautifully linked, the collections were introduced as a love story and skits were played by actor OC Ukeje and presenter Dolapo Oni of Studio 53 Extra. In between collection showcases was Music! there were performances in spoken word poetry by Tosin Otudeko of The Garden Theater Company and Lady Inspiro Logos, and live musical performances by Lynxx, DRB and Ajebutter 22

Wow that looks really grand. They went all out with the presentation. Drama, Poetry and Musical guests in addition to the clothes. That’s really great!

I was looking forward to seeing the lovely collection but there isn’t even one single solitary picture of the collection? Why didn’t you just say red carpet photos or something?! *RME Mehn!*

Woah! What a stunner?
I don’t even understand anymore. It seems Lagosians have turned the concept of a fashion show into a society event like a wedding or a grand anniversary celebration. So many musicians, dignitaries and wannabe socialites, so few clothes, buyers and media. The only picture showing models on the runway is blurred and lopsided for chrissakes!
Elegant event! Makes me wish I was in Lagos to attend. Love the mix of fashion with a purpose.

How come ther are no runway pictures? tot this was a fashion show? I was expecting to see pictures of the clothings that were showcased. Please this looks more like a society event. From the pictures, no fashion show!
Actually the designs are all over. It was covered by Getty images in uk. Style blazer and other. Also they are on their twitter, facebook and tumblr pages.
Am bereft of words. Simply BEAUTIFUL. Pls i will like more of this show. Those who missed it …… don’t again.
