We just love to celebrate marriages that have stood the test of time and couples that are so much in love even after so many years!
On Wednesday 20th February 2013 in Warri, Delta state, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and his wife, Roli Nere Uduaghan renewed their marriage vows after 25 years of marriage.
The governor and his wife who dressed like a couple getting married for the first time walked to the altar, renewed their marriage vows, exchanged rings and cut their anniversary cake just as they did in 1988 at the same First Baptist Church, Warri.
The ceremony was attended by their children, family, friends and well wishers and was followed by a reception afterwards.
We wish the Governor and his wife many more happy years together.
Check out some photos from the event:

Aww congrats!! Loving the first lady’s dress.
perfect way to spend “our” money!!
triple likes for this comment.
I think this is an excuse to spend money. They must have so much of it.
Na so
First! more grace to them
Woooow so lovely.
congrats governor and first lady , at least something positve from my state.
A little insensitive of Uduaghan (an elected public official) to choose to conspicuously spend public funds on indulgent wish fulfillment like this.
Mark your anniversary by all means. Just show a little dignity and class. This jamboree is not what Delta needs now.
Un beau mensonge
Chica and Tee stop been a sadist most parents celebrate 25th anniversary so what’s d fuse about it been d perfect way to spend your money smh. More years to them amen.
Awwww. So lovely. I see that the vow renewing trend is about to blow up in Nigeria. I love it. And as for the ‘our money’ haters, remember that poor (and even middle class people) can’t afford to run for governor in this country. It’s getting to a point where you can’t even buy a bar of chocolate without someone accusing you of spending ‘our money’.
I’m happy for them.

@ajiriavae, even if it is just the government cars that took them to the church or the policemen guarding the church and the reception venue, it is a WASTE OF OUR MONEY!
It would be nice to see people like these mark such a landmark in their marriage by spending the day or giving to the poor and less-privileged (or such charitable events), but even if they choose not to do so (and that is their prerogative), it is not asking too much for them not to WASTE OUR MONEY on their personal frivolities — money that would have been better expended elsewhere.
@Chica pls wats wrong wit dem renewin deir vows, nawa o!wish dem many more yrs 2geda,its nt easy in dis tyms of divorce and seperation.
that kiss….eh..*strolls away*
Absolutely uncalled for in a State where God knows what percentage of the people can not afford the basic needs. Seriously prioritise. Celebrate in your liviing room. We do not need this showing off from leaders! really pouring salt on the wounds of the poor!
awww thats beautiful!
what a gorgeous and beautiful wife. his daughter is also gorgeous.
useless! mchew using government money to do wedding renewal while people of the state are poor, dont have electricity or good water. how about renewing your vows by giving to SOS children
public fund for re-union ooo….

Hmmmm, the first lady is quite attractive…. the man must have toasted shege out of his body to get land her………
Whether or not they used public funds.Mschew
I think its worthy to wish them best wishes on their 25th Annivesary. Many marriages these days dont last that long. I wish them many more happy, healthy & fulfilled years together and also this inspires me to work on my own.
God knows i’ve never been a fan of this My Governor from day one
We shldnt be saddist, afterall even non governors renew vows in extravagant ways
With THEIR OWN MONEY!
another way to waste Govt Money
By the way, it’s ‘Live, Love, Learn”, not Live, Love, Life.
what is extravagant in this small gathering now? bad belles should please BACK OFF!!!!. If the story is their divorce (God 4bid) it is these same bad mouthed kids that will complain. Pipol should just learn to LIVE, LOVE and LIFE!
any little thing*
Are you related to them or you know them personally? This is a neutral question. Thing is, I understand what you’re saying and I also understand these people too. Yes, you should celebrate your anniversary, but the Governor of Delta state uses every little opportunity for a flamboyant celebration; always having events. If it was HIS money, then it’s no one’s business if he throws an elaborate party or not, but why these people are bitter is because its NOT his money! You can’t tell from few pictures if the ceremony was elaborate or not, please be real.
You have to be realistic and stop siding ludicrousness.
